  We remember meeting Wayne Stewart for the first time well over a year ago now. He came out to our house in Dromana and spent almost two hours listening to our plans and dreams for our 20 year old home. What seemed daunting to us didn’t bother Wayne at all. He trusted himself and his experience and gave us the confidence that anything was possible. He was very friendly and full of great ideas and suggestions. So it was easy for us to choose Wayne Stewart Builders to carry out the work. From start to finish the customer service and communication from both Wayne and Colette was simply second to none. But what stands out for us is the amazing standard of work Wayne and his team produce. The attention to detail is what gave everything they did a real WOW factor. They renovated the front of our house completely transforming it beyond our expectations. New decks were built, main entrance was widened and custom doors fitted. Front landscaping was also done including major drainage works and retaining walls. There isn’t much these guys can’t do and we couldn’t recommend them enough to anyone looking to extend or renovate their home.   In late 2014 we purchased an existing home in Dromana. We had intentions to renovate the home as it was over 35 years old and it looked it! We had an idea in mind of what we wanted in regards to the renovation so we were aware it would be extensive. What we didn't have at that stage was a builder that could carry out a project of this size and to the quality standards we expected. We found Wayne Stewart Builders online and from there we arranged to meet at our house and go over the project with Wayne. From the very first meeting Wayne made us feel comfortable and at ease. Wayne put forward solutions and ideas we hadn't considered. These suggestions ended up becoming key points to the overall style of the build. As part of his service Wayne arranged for a further site visit with his Draftsman to draw up the extension and new plans for our home. Wayne Stewart Builders handled all permit submissions to the Council and kept us in the loop right throughout the process. We were extremely pleased with the way the build went. The ongoing communication from both Wayne and Colette Stewart was impeccable and made the whole experience much easier to deal with particularly as we lived in the property during the entire build. There wasn't one room in the house that went untouched and in fact we added a room, third bathroom, extensive decking and a list of items too long to mention in this testimonial. It should also be mentioned that all the tradies used by Wayne were of the same calibre and would also be recommended by us in their own right. Overall we were more than pleased with the build quality and the end result. The outcome exceeded our expectations in every way possible. After going through a bad experience with a dodgy builder many years earlier it was a huge relief to deal with both Wayne and Colette. We cannot speak highly enough of our entire experience with both Wayne and Colette.   We have been taking care of Wayne's tiling and waterproofing needs for some time now. If I ever have anyone who asks me to recommend a builder or carpenter, Wayne is the first person on my list. I know when I go to start a new job for Wayne everything is ready when he says it is, and to the highest standards; that is extremely important when laying tiles and trying to achieve a flawless finish. Preparation is crucial when laying tiles and that's something Wayne and his team have masterd!   After a lengthy process getting quotes and lack lustre ideas from various bathroom renovation companies we finally found Wayne Stewart. We had a tired, over twenty year old bathroom, typical of the era with a bulky corner spa that was never used and a very pokey shower recess. We also had an adjoining walk-in robe of the same era which needed to be re-configured and entirely replaced. Everything basically had to go. Wayne provided us with some inspirational ideas while listening to and incorporating ours, and guided us to some excellant suppliers to locate the fixtures and fittings we needed. Once the job began, the process was seamless. Wayne and Colette were on top of everything, providing excellent communication and keeping us informed throughout the entire process. Their team of tradies were always there when he said they would be, were respectful ,clean and efficient. and the quality of their workmanship was exceptional .We had no hiccups or issues along the way and at the end of the project we were absolutely thrilled at how well the job had turned out. Wayne promised it would be "the best room in the house" and he really has delivered on that promise. We now have a dream bathroom which exceeds all our expectations and all who see it have agreed.
