Paul runs an amazing team and working with him was an absolute pleasure. His in-depth knowledge is second to none. He always found clever solutions to even the toughest problems we faced while renovating our apartment. His trades team were without exception, professional, polite and easy to work with. Paul is incredibly reliable and straight forward and I would strongly recommend him to anyone doing a build or renovation.

I engaged Paul to complete a significant renovation to my double fronted terrace house in Richmond. 2 Stories, Slab with Polished Concrete Floor with Hydronic heating, Solar Power, Protective works with party walls on both sides all within a heritage overlay. There was definitely a lot of complexity with my renovation. Choosing the right builder is IMO the most important aspect of a renovation and I was impressed with Paul's energy and passion from our first meeting. He was attentive to every detail, almost immediately responsive to all of my questions at any time of the day, always had an idea for any challenges we faced, and the quality of his work, and his team was first rate. I am very happy with the outcome and would recommend him to anyone considering a renovation.

The renovation of my house has exceeded my expectations. I love it so much! Paul helped me develop my vision along the way, and provided a lot of good advice and ideas to improve my reno. He contacted me regularly, organised frequent site visits and was always available to discuss the project. He made sure good solutions were found for the inevitable challenges and issues. He has a great crew working with him, they were really nice, professional and helpful. Milly the dog was great to have site too!

Paul did a fantastic job on our bathroom and laundry renovation (total rebuild inc stumps, frame, installing fittings and organising trades). He took over the job when it didn’t go well with our first builder and really came through for us. Everything ran smoothly as soon as Paul took over. He clearly takes pride in his work and didn’t take any short cuts.

Inside & Out Paul Leadbeater We have just recently moved into our heavily renovated Edwardian Terrace house with heritage overlay conditions. The comments we have received from everyone, including a bunch of young architects are a testament to what an incredible build this has been. We can honestly say that we could not have undertaken this major renovation in Inner Melbourne with any other builder. From the moment we met with Paul we just knew we had found the builder we could trust and work with. Paul was our third time lucky. At the time we were in the process of signing up a second builder after a nightmare legal wrangle with our initial builder. Paul was different from the start. Despite his young years (or because of it), his skill and knowledge of this type of custom building is impressive. He listens and has a clear understanding of a quality build with amazing attention to detail. Our building journey had encountered every obstacle possible, Covid, exorbitant price rises, trades shortages, all sorts of delays imaginable, unimaginable rules and regulations from every authority imaginable, and to top it all up, a neighbour from hell. Throughout all these, Paul had held our hands and kept a tight ship. Somehow we got through it all to now enjoy a house that continuously gets a “Wow” from every single visitor. To say we enjoyed the journey would be a lie. But the fact we have a beautiful finished home is all because we made the best decision when we chose Paul as our builder. HE IS THAT GOOD! His band of young tradies are absolutely amazing too. They are highly skilled, courteous, polite and helpful. Yes, we would highly recommend Inside and Out and Paul to anyone. He cares and his post handover care is amazing too.
