  We engaged HydeBuild at the beginning of 2020 following a very positive referral from good friends who had successfully renovated a few years ago. Right from the first interaction we could feel Simon’s passion and it continued right through the renovation resulting in delivery on time and on budget and exceeding our overall expectations. There are plenty of builders who spruik Quality but HydeBuild truly embodies it – the intent and desire to achieve the best quality outcome is unparalleled. Importantly, Simon’s approach extends right through as HydeBuild engages a team of trades who mirror his passion and focus on quality and the ‘right’ outcomes. HydeBuild is unlikely to be the lowest price builder as their superior quality and detail takes time and effort to achieve. Everything is articulated openly, is easy to align and understand and is amazingly accurate. Simon’s ability to navigate COVID-19 restrictions and still meet a pre-Christmas handover was truly exceptional – in a normal world our target of early December seemed reasonable but with everything that transpired in 2020 to be only a couple of weeks behind schedule was an outstanding result - HydeBuild was well within it’s rights to have the job roll into 2021 however the understanding of our desire for Christmas in our new home saw an unwavering drive to ‘find a way’. Simon communicated clearly, concisely and regularly throughout to keep us informed and to ensure we knew what was required of us and when. All of the above would have been enough to comfortably meet our expectations however Simon is not afraid to call on his experience to advise if something is not going to work or can be enhanced and he went above and beyond to ensure we got the best possible outcome with two key recommendations which enhanced the result significantly: 1. The intended 4th bedroom was, on reflection, only going to function as a study owing to a large unfurnishable area so an early stage re-design saw a separate ‘2-bedroom wing’ created which will service our 2 gorgeous daughters for many years to come 2. The flow of our Butler’s Pantry, Laundry and Powder Room was deemed to require reshaping so Simon took the time to create scenarios, work through them with us and land on a much improved outcome Additionally, the bathroom layout and ceiling heights were optimised to produce a magnificent result and one which has drawn positive attention from experienced renovators who have visited. After all was said and done the handover list was extraordinarily short for such a major renovation and largely consisted of a checklist of minor items which were de-prioritised to ensure we could move in pre-Christmas. Our entire handover process was a delight and our final items post-handover addressed diligently and as promised.   Working with Hydebuild Pty Ltd on this project was a delight. Simon Hydebuild, the director, quickly got across the detail of the plans and was instrumental in refining the client needs within their budget. He was quick to get the project off the ground and push it through to handover amidst the turmoil of the COVID stage 4 lockdown. With clear and regular communication between Client and Consultants throughout the contract allowed for efficient construction detailing and onsite improvements to the build, budget and to aesthetics. The finished work was first class, well considered and executed down to the finer details making it an absolute pleasure being in the finished spaces. Simon is the holistic Professional Builder, from contract negotiation to front door key handover, his work was faultless and his manner approachable, informative and cooperative.
