Dave completed a major renovation and extension for us in 2025, which involved completely gutting the existing home and adding a substantial extension to the rear. One of the key advantages of working with Dave is that he only takes on one or two projects at a time, which meant he was able to stay highly focused on our build. Despite the scale and complexity of the work, everything was completed in about nine months, allowing for a break over the Christmas/New Year period. Dave has a solid, reliable team of tradespeople who consistently delivered high-quality work. His own carpentry skills were particularly important during the framing stage and the construction of our large deck, which was finished beautifully. Our project was not straightforward, it included intricate design elements such as curves, varying floor levels that needed to flow seamlessly, mosaic tiling, skylights, and square-set plastering. All of these were executed to a high standard and met our expectations. I’d highly recommend reaching out to Dave if you’re planning a renovation or new build. His attention to detail, hands-on approach, and commitment to quality make him a standout builder.

I reached out to David for a quote for some well overdue home renovations and received a call the next day to arrange a time to come out for a quote. His quote was professional and very reasonably priced and had information in it as a first time renovator I would never have thought about. The job was completed on time and at an excellent standard. The communication from David throughout the renovations was amazing and he even helped with suggestions of things that would work well. I would highly recommend David at Essendon Builders for any work you need done. I have added photos but they just don't do it justice. So extremely happy with the completed work.

David from Essendon Builders was referred to us by our draftsman helping us with a half house renovation. We were extremely happy with the quality of the work carried out not only by David, who did all of the carpentry work, but also his trades team. Not only were they a good bunch of blokes, the attention to detail was spot on and they were prepared to listen and make changes when we changed our minds on something. A great result finished in a reasonable timeframe.

After deciding not to proceed with a DIY build, I was lucky enough to find Dave Wooder. And how lucky Colleen and I were. We could not find any fault with Dave building our fantastic extension..He leveled the site, stumped, did a great job with the sub-floor and framing. Then windows, doors, cladding, and finishing. His subbies for plumbing and plastering were excellent. Dave is reliable, timely, professional, and competent..We are happy to chat with anybody who wants to know more about Dave. We are happy to talk to any serious client
