We were very pleased with our experience with Backman Builders. From our very first meeting with Dean, we were impressed by his personable nature and extensive knowledge. Our project, which was a full renovation of an old Edwardian home, was completed on schedule and on budget. Dean, Darryn, and their team were incredibly thorough throughout the process. Dean and Darryn have excellent communication skills and they kept us well informed and engaged at every stage of the build. As this was our first reno, we very much appreciated their approachable nature and they never made us feel like a bother if we questioned something or needed their guidance. Both Dean and Darryn have a remarkable eye for detail, especially when it comes to heritage features, which was a key aspect of our project. Their commitment to craftsmanship is showcased in every part of the build. Backman Builders is truly a great family of builders, and I would recommend them to anyone seeking a premium build. Their dedication and skill make them an outstanding choice for any building project. I think the highest compliment you can pay a builder is engaging them again. We love our home too much so it wouldn’t be for a while yet, but would have no hesitation in working with Dean and Darryn again.

We were so incredibly lucky to enlist Dean, Daz and the Backman team for our renovation and extension on our Macedon Ranges home. Not only did they make it their mission to produce a result of the highest standard and quality, their communication and client-focussed ways of operation were second to none. They really care for and look after their clients and bring a warm and wonderful family feel to what they do. They built us our dream home and we could not be more satisfied and happy with the results! The entire process from start to finish was such a pleasure and we truly loved working with them and would recommend their building services in a heartbeat. Dean’s talented and lovely wife Nicole can also provide her amazing interior design services which is such a bonus! We can’t thank the Backman team enough and wish them nothing but the best for the future - we look forward to continuing to see their business thrive and produce top-quality homes around Melbourne and the Ranges!

Highly recommend Dean and Darryn and their team at Backman. This was our first building experience and we were nervous. The Backman guys made the whole process feel easy and were a pleasure to deal with. They are just good guys at the end of the day and it is a good feeling knowing people like that are building your home. They worked closely with us to bring our vision to life and also brought some great ideas to the table which has enhanced our home. Because of our experience with Backman Builders we are excited at the possibility to build again in the future. Thanks so much guys.

I highly recommend Backman Builders. Dean and Darryn built a significant extension to our period home. Their care and craftsmanship were outstanding and they brought with them an excellent team of tradespeople who they have worked with for many years. Nothing was too much trouble and every step of the way it was clear they wanted nothing more than to create a home we loved and a job they were proud of. I really enjoyed working with the Backmans and would use them again without hesitation - though we love the home they built so much we won't be moving anytime soon!
