I can’t recommend Brenton and the team at Tiny House Taswide enough starting right at the beginning from the open day. We were consulted all the way and nothing was too much trouble. Our modifications were accepted with a smile and all completed beautifully. We had an idea of our colour scheme but being absolutely hopeless with colours ourselves Brenton and his team took it all in hand and exceeded all expectations! Our surveyor even commented on the brilliant quality of the build. I could honestly write pages of pluses for this business and am happy to add more info for anyone interested. Thank you Tiny House Taswide for our dream home 🏠

Frequently asked questions

How much do builders typically charge?
Builder costs vary widely depending on the job type and complexity. Minor repairs are generally much less than extensions, small builds or structural alterations that need foundations, framing or specialist input. Most quotes include a call‑out fee plus labour and materials, and the page shows live pricing to help you compare options.
Do builders charge call-out fees?
Call‑out fees are common and typically cover travel and an initial inspection or assessment. This fee is usually separate from hourly labour and materials, and after‑hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates. Ask whether a call‑out or minimum charge applies when requesting quotes.
Do builders need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Building work generally needs to be carried out by a licensed builder in every state and territory, and NSW builders are regulated by NSW Fair Trading. Builders should be able to provide their state builder/contractor licence number and show appropriate insurances and ABN/GST registration. In Victoria, domestic building insurance is required above a state threshold for certain contracts.
Does Tiny House Taswide have a verified ABN?
