  We have had a brilliant experience building with Skookom. From the first visit through to the hand over we felt like the team was as invested in the project success as we were. We moved into our new home within 18 months of our first enquiry. They were prompt, communicated clearly and kept us informed at every stage. There’s lots of things to recommend Skookom but for us two things stand out: sustainability and integrity. We continue to delight in finding little details that show the quality of the build and the diligence of the team.

  Our journey with Skookom building our first home has been amazing! From our very first enquiry and all the way through they were incredibly responsive and all communications have been prompt, clear and concise, nurturing us through the process and filling us with confidence and assurance. Kicking off with a site meeting to get the lay of the land with Ian the owner and Brendan our design and planning maestro, the guys were pragmatic and completely open and worked with us closely, building from a 'Skookom Light' model to achieve a spectacular result that fit our budget. A huge bonus was receiving the $8k engagement fee reimbursed on signing of the contract. The whole crew have been consummate professionals, nothing was too much trouble for the guys, constantly coming up with great ideas and solutions and they were all awesome to work with. We witnessed a great culture among the team who expressed they love working for Skookom and this included the subcontractors. They clearly take a huge amount of pride in their work and hold themselves to very high standards of workmanship. The quality of build and finishings and attention to detail is first class and we love our beautiful and warm, cosy and super energy efficient home! (NatHERS 8.4⭐). Going the extra mile and the personal touches at handover even further made us feel extremely valued as clients. Would not hesitate to recommend them. Cass and Piers

They engaged with trades and contractors with excellent programming and project managment, while keeping us informed throughout the process, from design through to occupancy. Our choices were clear from the outset and with a great understanding of our intent, they worked to exceed our expectations.

  We feel so lucky to have engaged Skookom as our builder. No build is stress-free, especially during COVID, with constantly rising pricing and unreliable supply chains but Skookon just made it work. Ian, Elise, the Skookom staff and the subcontractors they engaged were always a pleasure to work with, and nothing was too much trouble. Skookom got to know who we were and they quickly understood what we wanted to build and how we wanted to live in it. When a problem came along, the solutions they provided always had this in mind, often making the build even better. We are thrilled with the result.
