We were beyond impressed with their work and they came out for an emergency job the same day. They saved us needing an excavator and likely damaging our water line. Very happy! Will recommend.

Fantastic experience using Vac 2 U, Riley was fantastic, attentive and sorted us out with a truck on site ASAP. Nothing was too difficult and the operator (Daniel) that he sent to help was fantastic, friendly knowledgeable and bent over backwards to help us get our digs done quickly and safe. Would use them again in a heart beat.

Frequently asked questions

How much do builders typically charge?
Builder costs vary widely depending on the job type and complexity. Minor repairs are generally much less than extensions, small builds or structural alterations that need foundations, framing or specialist input. Most quotes include a call‑out fee plus labour and materials, and the page shows live pricing to help you compare options.
Do builders charge call-out fees?
Call‑out fees are common and typically cover travel and an initial inspection or assessment. This fee is usually separate from hourly labour and materials, and after‑hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates. Ask whether a call‑out or minimum charge applies when requesting quotes.
Do builders need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Building work generally needs to be carried out by a licensed builder in every state and territory, and NSW builders are regulated by NSW Fair Trading. Builders should be able to provide their state builder/contractor licence number and show appropriate insurances and ABN/GST registration. In Victoria, domestic building insurance is required above a state threshold for certain contracts.
