  If you are looking for a great builder, who respects your budget like it was his own, is open, trustworthy, pragmatic and does excellent work, then look no further than Dan Edwards. Dan undertook a full gutting and renovation of our old Edwardian double fronted house, which is in a conservation zone in the inner west in Sydney. Our Reno was completed over 2 stages as part 2 required a DA because of Council Heritage considerations. Dan helped us throughout the process, offering alternatives and solutions to building design challenges and sharing his vast experience and trade network with us to develop bespoke solutions we had not considered. We felt like he managed the project with consideration like it was his own property and budget. Dan is honest, upfront, very considerate of budget and costs, communicative and happy to challenge design choices to manage budgets and offer an alternative solution. He is highly considerate and respectful of your home, keeping a very clean workspace and expects the same from any other trades who come on site. He has a really good crew of trusted specialist sub contractors that he brings in (sparkies, plumbers etc) and they too were always good quality, considerate people, who I would happily use again. We could not recommend Dan more highly. He is a fantastic builder and an all round good guy. He is so good, following our reno he has now worked on renovations for 3 other houses in the street!! Just hire him!!

  Living in Sydney and have been using Dan and his team for a number of years for renovations/ repairs and maintenance on a house. Could not be happier with the quality of work, attention to detail and honesty and communication. He is punctual and provides accurate quotations and upfront with expected costs. Most importantly he provides a quality service with high end work- hard combination it seems to find these days. Would not hesitate to recommend!

  Dan came recommended to us from two sources and he was doing a major rebuild in our street in Summer Hill. We were so fortunate that we also used him for our own home renovation - 1/2 house rebuild. Dan’s work was cost effective from the outset and that same approach was maintained with his project administration. We found he was very valuable with his advice cost effective in resolving design and latent issues. I work in the construction industry and found Dan diligent in delivering the project on time and on budget, I can assure you that we were very happy with the services of Dan and his team of sub contractors and have no hesitation in recommending D J Edwards Building. The quality of the craftsmanship was exceptional. Every detail from the precision of the finishes to the quality of materials used was handled with care and expertise. Dan takes pride in his work.
