  Our project of raising a small cottage and all that goes with navigating through the DA process with the Byron Shire Council, certainly was at times, a seriously tough gig. However, our saving grace was Gerard and his amazing team from Byron Hinterland Building and Restumping. This entire process started over a year ago, and with all that was thrown at us, Gerard stuck by us, honoured his quote and never once let us down. Over and above in everything this process involved, with true craftsmanship, an eye to detail, organising on our behalf all Trade that was required to keep the whole process running smoothly. He dealt with on our behalf every inspection involving the Byron Council, keeping our Certifiers in the loop to ensure not one of the dozens of instructions through Council by-laws were missed, acknowledged and dealt with any issue that may have slowed the entire process down. We could not have survived the stress that this project placed on our family without you Gerard. An extraordinary feat, particularly in this day and age of anything involving a build. From the entire Parkes Clan, we thank you and highly recommend anyone wanting a new build, renovation or any thing involving the beautification of one's property. Gerard and Byron Hinterland Building and Restumping are to us, the pinnacle of building excellence.

  Andy Piper.Gerard and his team re stumped (11/24)our 100 year old weatherboard house at Monaltrie. The team worked extremely hard and professionally , the house stands again proud looking over the valley . We were amazed that now doors and cupboards close and open with ease and no more walking downhill into the south facing rooms -amazing. Gerard`s team adjusted plumbing and sewerage pipes ,removed all old stumps and left the house surrounds very tidy. A very efficient and professional team , a team I highly recommend.

  Gerard and the team just completed a full house restumping and leveling on our 1950s homes. They used top quality materials and went above and beyond with their work and communication. Not only did they finish on time, but a day earlier than expected. They cleaned up the area well and there were no surprises at the end of the job in terms of the quoted amount, even though they fixed a few extra things along the way!
