Daniel and crew did an excellent job for us and we can absolutely see why they’re so highly recommended around the Adelaide Hills. They’re local and knowledgeable with a thoughtful and respectful approach of the trees and habitats, which we really appreciated. They were punctual, easy to communicate with and talked us through our options — including bolting trees rather than full removal. We chose this option for one and were really happy with the outcome. Professional, reliable and great to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to use Daniel and crew again and happily recommend them to others in the Hills.

Daniel was great to deal from the quote to getting the job done. The price was very reasonable and Daniel and his team were very well mannered and respectful. They came 3 days and cleaned up thoroughly after each days work which not a lot of people do. Daniel is fantastic to deal with and is genuinely a lovely and honest guy. We will definitely use him and his crew again.

Daniel and his guys did an amazing job for us. They were professional, efficient, polite and really nice people. They did the initial clean up from the storm the day after being contacted, cleaned up great and left us mulch and fire wood.

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
