Ordered 15.5 cubic meters of aged mulch, when delivered looked dark, but as it dried out it was a beautiful colour. A big job, but well worth the results. Thanks Andrew

Would Highley recommend Andrew & his team from "Treeproblem No Problem" for any trees that require removing. Had Andrew & his team turn up on short notice (within an 1hr) for a Palm that I wanted cut down before Cyclone Alfred arrived. Andrew showed up & had the tree down in no time. Now I have peace of mind that the tree can no longer cause me any greif once this cyclone hits. Thanks again Andrew, much appreciated👍

Andy came round the week i called him. Gave me a quote on the day. Gave me a timeline which he met. Handled an issue promptly with a professional phone call resulting in a great outcome. Cut down another tree at a low rate and did more then was expected to help me out. Overall fantastic service and a great experience. I'll be recommending him to everyone i know.

Awesome service. I needed a large tree removed to make room for a septic system. Andrew was super-precise in making sure the tree would fall in one direction. He then cut the trunk into chunks suitable for firewood. In addition to his high skill and experience, the price was irresistible.

Andrew and his team cut down some trees a few months ago and could not be happier with the service. We had some Bougainvillea intertwined within the trees and he carefully cut down the trees without damaging it. He also had all the decent machinery to get the job done quickly along with a big team and very competitive price without compromising on standards. I would strongly recommend Andrew and his team.

Arborist costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do arborists typically charge?
Arborist costs vary widely depending on the type and scale of work. Factors such as tree size and species, site access, whether removal and stump grinding are needed, required equipment and disposal all affect the total. Most quotes separate a call-out component from labour and materials, and after-hours or emergency jobs generally attract higher rates. The live pricing on this page shows current estimates for different job types.
Do arborists charge call-out fees?
Many arborists charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. That fee typically covers travel and the initial site inspection, and smaller or remote jobs may be subject to a minimum charge. It's worth confirming whether a call-out fee is included in any quote you receive.
When do arborists need a licence?
Arborists often need registration or specific contractor credentials for higher-risk, large-scale or regulated tree work. Where the scope overlaps with regulated building or contractor work, providers should hold a valid state contractor or builder credential and comply with local council permit requirements for protected trees. For higher‑risk tasks, look for evidence of public liability insurance, documented work-at-heights controls and SWMS.
