After seeing so many build and trade horror stories on TikTok, I went into this process with a fair bit of hesitation. I found Lightning Energy through SolarQuotes, which felt like a somewhat trusted starting point, but from the very first interaction, the vibe I got from these guys was genuinely different. I had more than my fair share of questions, concerns, and indecision. My sales rep was always patient, approachable, and happy to talk through options in detail. There was never any pressure, just honest discussion that helped guide me to decisions I'd already spent countless hours researching around system designs and energy usage. Lightning Energy definitely wasn't the cheapest quote, but I was never going to choose the cheapest option. Their pricing sat in the middle band, and felt fair for what was offered (install pictures sent to me and found on socials). The depth of knowledge and willingness to discuss things in detail stood out, along with the absence of the bs sales feel that I got from some other companies. When it came time for installation, the team were friendly, professional, and more than happy to answer questions, listen to requests, and discuss the more complex technical details with someone who wanted to understand more than their ability allowed for... :D During pre-install inspection the battery wall required fire-resistance sheeting, and I decided I wanted a more seamless look than I had seen on other installs so I arranged this myself. The install team seemed surprised and impressed with the finish, and I showed them progress photos for verification that it was fire-resistant, and when I asked for the presentation to be kept to a high standard, they absolutely delivered. Judge the photo for yourself, but personally, I rate both the install and the entire experience a well-deserved 5/5

I just had a 16kWh Sigenergy solar battery system installed at my house today. The sales and quoting process of Lightning Energy was quick and well-organised. Blake, the project manager, was responsive and transparent throughout, promptly providing all the information I requested. He clearly explained the technical aspects of my existing solar PV setup and walked me through the options for retrofitting it with a solar battery and additional panels. Everything was communicated in simple, easy-to-understand terms — perfect for someone without a technical background. Communication was smooth and efficient, with timely responses via SMS and email. The quote I received was competitive compared to other solar battery retailers and installers. The installation process was just as well-managed. From scheduling the date and time to outlining the prerequisites ahead of the installation day, everything ran smoothly. The installation team (Tyler, Tae, Tariq, and Adam) arrived on time, conducted themselves professionally, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and made sure I had plenty of opportunities to ask questions. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would confidently recommend them to anyone considering solar upgrades. As to the quality and performance of the Sigenergy battery, it's still too early to tell.

We just had a crew from Lightning Energy with Minh as a team lead, to install out Powerwall Tesla 3 battery. Arrived on time, professional approach to work, great job done (see photo). The whole time great communication and explanation. Set the app on my phone and explained what to expect next. Highly recommended.

Crew from Tyler, Adam and Gyem installed my Powerwall 3 over 2 days. Great teamwork and professionally installed by the team. Got my app working and Tyler explained well how to interprète the information and maintenance of the system which is minimal. Clean up also done well by team and ensured I was happy with the job before leaving. Would recommend the team and company to do a good job of battery installation.

The installation went smoothly with the team providing advice on best location for the inverter and where electrical conduit was needed. A very neat setup. Very happy with the work completed.
