REA Solar

Hi I was very satisfied with the services and the product provided by REA. They have the safest solution on the market (my opinion) in that they directly address the issues of high DC voltages in the solar cell circuit and the battery circuits, and provide the ability to isolate the solar cells directly from the board. This is a unique offering I believe. The advice provided regarding my technical questions was the clearest I came across in my discussions with various vendors. Our experience with REA has been very good. Guy communicated very well and we felt comfortable that we understood what we were buying, and the impact the batteries would have on our electricity bills. The installation was fast and efficient. The batteries were delivered the day before the installation and the team arrived right on time the following day. I had cleared an area where the batteries were to go but the installation team determined that there was insufficient space and an alternative site was required. They assisted with the moving of several heavy items to clear the new site. The installation team were great to work with, provided good advice, and left the job in a tidy state. We have had no issues with the REA app. Thank you for the advice and service you provided.

REA have just installed a Fox ESS 42 kw battery system at our house. We already had an existing 11.4 kw solar system and we wanted to get the most out of the solar power it generated. We also had REA install a 15 kw 3 phase inverter to take full advantage of the large amount of battery storage. Guy was the salesman who attended in person and quoted when no other battery installers would. We had no room on the side of the house where the switchboard is so it was a complex install and the battery was placed on the opposite side of our house as we didn't want to waste room in the garage. The cabling had to be put through the roof of our 2 storey house. Guy gave us a full quote for ALL of the work that was to be done so we got no surprises on the day of the install. REAs team arrived promptly at 7 am and worked hard to get the system all hooked up by 11am. Lachie remained behind and ensured that the system worked perfectly. Before he left, he demonstrated how the system worked and explained the online app to control it. He only left when we were perfectly satisfied. We signed up with Amber that afternoon and are now getting the benefits of their power trading and are on target to receive positive monthly statements for our new power supply. It has full blackout back-up also. We are most satisfied with REAs installation work and it is comforting to know they are a local company here at the Gold Coast in case we need any further assistance. They were not the cheapest quote we got but they were the only ones who attended to inspect our house and were very reasonable when considering additional costs we knew would apply over basic systems advertised all over Facebook. All work was very professionally done and finished. Highly recommended.

Our names are Lyndon & Beverly Hawkes. We live in the Sanctuary Community Village on Cleveland Redland Bay Road Victoria Point in House 143. REA Solar have been our go to for all our solar needs for many years for our homes in Thornlands and Cleveland Qld. The solar panels are capable of drawing in 460KW. They are strong and reliable and can have their own individual inverters depending on the circumstances. This year, 2026, we decided to invest in a 20KW Battery. Best decision!! The battery is now covering all of our own energy needs, including air-con, and sending some back to the grid. The sales rep. for REA is Brett Haughtley. Brett always returned calls in good time and professionally answered our queries or got information from his highly qualified team. Craig and Kai are his top men. They set up our system with accuracy and competence. This system is monitored back to base so the experts can see any discrepancies or malfunction or just to note how we are travelling energy wise. We are very satisfied with our purchase and highly recommend REA Solar. The photos below show the battery in place on a secure outside wall.

I recently had a solar battery system installed by REA Solar, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Guy, the sales representative, was extremely helpful. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and continued to support me even after the installation. His professionalism and knowledge made the process very smooth. Mimi, the installation coordinator, communicated exceptionally well. She sent confirmation emails, called me about any schedule updates, and always made sure the installation time suited me. Her reminders and organisation made everything easy and stress-free. Nick and the REA Solar installation team were outstanding. They arrived on time, discussed all details with me before starting, and made sure they understood my preferences for the battery location and which circuits I wanted backed up. Nick even spent extra time re-wiring my switchboard to match my requirements. They also installed my own supplied bollards at no extra cost. Their workmanship was clean, professional, and high quality. Overall, I am extremely impressed with REA Solar. Great communication, great installation, and a truly customer-focused team. I consulted REA Solar regarding a battery installation as they installed our solar panels 12 years ago. Guy was very patient with answering all my questions and offered several options to minimise the outlay. With the introduction of the federal government’s battery rebate program I bit the bullet and decided on 10 extra panels and a 40kWh battery system. Unfortunately the June installation date became August and finally November. The team who installed the extra panels in June were on time and polite. Nick and his team came this week and were just as punctual and pleasant to deal with, even with some hiccups in connecting the system to the internet. We’ve been very happy with REA and recommend getting a quote from them. I tried four companies and Guy was the most knowledgeable of all the salespeople I dealt with.
