Coastal Solar Solutions

We have used Steve, Jackson and the boys at Coastal Solar Solutions now for a few years. Initially they installed a Tindo Solar System and more recently a Sungrow Battery System as well as some preventative maintenance service calls. The attention to detail both in quoting and install is second to none. (The inverter is purposefully offset for other future install reasons, otherwise they boys would have made sure it was all centred). A friendly and helpful team that go the extra mile. Being Newcastle based it was no issue for them coming up from the Central Coast. I definitely recommend contacting them should you need a solar solution for you home or business.

I spent a lot of time choosing the right installer for a major solar and battery upgrade and Coastal Solar Solutions stood out clearly in the end. I contacted 6 or 7 companies initially just to understand the realistic price range. From there I narrowed it to a top three, then a final two, based on online reviews, forum feedback, and how confident I felt in the companies themselves. All three finalists were told upfront this was a competitive quoting process and all attended site to firm up their pricing. One company was quickly ruled out after the site visit due to pricing at the very top end of the range for effectively the same equipment. That left Aztec Solar and Coastal Solar Solutions. Both inspired confidence, but Coastal Solar Solutions were noticeably more thorough. They walked through exactly how the job would be done, identified that my existing breakers no longer met current standards and needed replacement, and were clear that their approach would priorities neatness and compliance over speed. The installation itself exceeded expectations. The scope was significant, adding 21 panels to bring the system to 16kW, installing a Sigenergy 48kWh battery with a 25kW three phase inverter, plus whole house backup via the Sigenergy gateway. A crew of five split into solar and battery teams and worked efficiently and professionally. The cabling, switchboard work and overall finish were exceptionally neat, the roof work was done carefully, and the site was left clean at the end of the day. Alex, who handled the battery installation, was especially diligent and detail focused. Steve Torpy, the business owner, attended site at the start of the day to set expectations, which I appreciated and which set the tone for the install. They started exactly when they said they would and completed everything within a single day, with solid communication throughout. A nice example of their attitude was upgrading me at no cost to Australian made panels when stock of the originally quoted panels was limited. Rather than delay the job, they absorbed the difference and kept things moving. I have since had Coastal Solar Solutions back to install an EV charger and once again the work was clean, professional and well finished. Their pricing was not the cheapest, but the overall value, quality of workmanship, and post installation support for follow up questions made them the best choice for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Coastal Solar Solutions and would use them again without question.

Having just purchased my new home, I did a lot of research into Solar Systems, Panels and the 100,s of So called Free Systems on offer and looked hard at my individual needs. I discovered not all Solar Systems are the same or are of the same Quality. I decided after numerous quotes, that Coastal Solar Solutions was the best fit for my needs and could offer me the best quality all round. My system was installed in February 2024 and I could not be happier with my decision. I now have 18kw on my roof, delivering 10kw to the grid and supplying my total home needs at the same time. Of course when the sun is shining. 😊 As per the photos Steve made sure my panels collect the suns rays from the East, the West and The north. Coastal Solar Solutions is by far one of the most Professional and Reliable companies I have ever dealt with. There was never any hard sell, Steve Torpy from CSS did everything to explain what was best suited to my home, what I could expect from the system and possible output. I could not ask for more and even today, 7 months after installation Steve will still answer the phone to any questions I have. Amazing Product knowledge and Exceptional Service delivery. After extensive research we had the 8.8 kW Solar system with 20x Trena Solar vertex s+ panels installed by Coastal Solar Solutins in April 2024. From start to finish the job was fully explained in fine detail and carried out fast and efficiently and everything we needed to know about our new system was explained again so we totally understood. So we've had Autumn and winter electricity bills and both were substantially lower to the corresponding bills of last year. We are in Bensville and have shade issues during the colder months and the savings were still quite substantial. We cannot recommend Steve and his crew highly enough.

Had Steve and his team install Aust made panels with Enphase inverters plus Tesla batteries. Excellent customer service and a good response to my only query. Very happy with a good reliable system thanks to Steve and his team.
