Summit + Shore Energy

Daniel reached out to me initially and helped design a system based off what I was trying to achieve; I think I changed the plan at least 5-8 times. He was patient, talked realistically and honestly and was willing to look at any wild ideas I had - even explaining to me how some of the setups I was looking at might not give me the return I'm looking for and recommended the right setup for my needs. This was despite some of those ideas having the potential to earn them more profit with a greater sale. He was always available and explained things clearly and simply. They were able to get the max benefit from both the federal rebate and the ACT Sustainable Household Scheme, and handled everything on their end without issue. Steve (the director) attended prior to install and gave the exact same experience, we talked about positioning and positives and negatives of my plan, and what they would need to do to also future-proof my electrics and save me money in the long-term. I wanted full back-up protection which would need an upgrade of my electricity box, and the price was very reasonable. The cable positioning was agreed-to, even though a little more inconvenient to them. On install day it went smoothly and the power was off for only around 2 hours, as they were adding onto and upgrading an existing system. They broke a couple of roof tiles but patched them up and replaced them a few days later at no cost to me. The battery was fully charged that day by sunset and I've been exporting since. The following day the kitchen lost power and Daniel answered the phone at 9am on a Saturday (while at home) to help me rectify the issue quickly and back on track. It was the dishwasher's fault and the new RCBOs they installed were a lot more sensitive to my older appliances. Overall I can't recommend this company high enough! They are smaller than the more established players but as such you get much more personal service. It also means you get installed earlier. The larger installers couldn't install until April. I ended up getting 20 AIKO panels @ 9.5kW added onto the existing 10 panels @ 2.8kW, feeding into a SigEnergy 10kW inverter and 32kW SigEnergy battery. This is in addition to a separate existing 8-panel 1.52kW array gross-fed system which wasn't touched, and a full upgrade of my electricity box. It looks amazing! I especially like playing with the light designs on the battery, and I've already started maximising my savings and return using Amber Energy. After acceptance of their well-detailed quote, Summit & Shore installed our 30 kWh ESY battery system plus additional 14 new solar panels (30 already installed) and handled all rebates with ease. The installing team arrived on time, (from 8:00 am) worked very efficiently (ground and roof), kept us informed, and had us online by 2:30 pm the same day. They even identified and replaced a hail-damaged panel — all on the same day. The ESY app provides us with excellent performance data, and the office team’s support has been clear and responsive to any questions we have had in relation to what we were seeing on the app. Highly recommend Summit & Shore for solar and battery installations and/or upgrades and back up support. — great service and great results.

I had a solar battery installed by the team at Summit and Shore and I couldn't be happier with the whole process. They checked in with me right from the start to find out what I was after and understand my requirements. They came to check the site and provided multiple detailed options in writing for me to consider. They spoke to me about what to expect, answered all my questions (I had a lot!) and made sure I was happy with everything before we went ahead. Very efficient and professional install completed in 1.5 days, including 10kw panels, Sigenergy battery and gateway, Reclaim heat pump and induction cooktop. Very easy company to deal with,and they communicated well throughout the process. Install predominantly done in house rather than using different contractors and as a result was very well coordinated. Highly recommended.
