As new pool owners, Todd has been so helpful. We purchased a property with green pool and had numerous issues with it before we could get it up and running. Todd has been on hand to help us at every stage. The pool has been running so well lately and we've had a great summer, but the pump just died on us. We called Todd and he was out the next day to get it sorted for us. He also drained and acid washed our pool at the start (when a lot of other blokes would've put it in the too hard basket). If you need sincere service from a hard worker, don't hesitate to contact Jim's Pool Care Karrinyup.

I’ve used Todd for several one-off jobs like replacing a sand filter and pool lights. I also book him in for regular pool services when we’re overseas. Todd always does a great job, is responsive and turns up when he says he will. I’d highly recommend.

Todd came at short notice and quickly assessed the problem as our old sand filter had broken leaking dirty water and sand back into our pool and we urgently needed a replacement. He did a great job dealing with the very old sand filter and our pool is now up and running with the replacement. There was no mess left and he checked everything thoroughly before leaving which was very reassuring after such a big job. Would highly recommend Todd and use his services again. Thank you !

Frequently asked questions

How much do pool technicians typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the type of job, its complexity and whether parts or full equipment replacements are required. Call-out fees, diagnostic time and after‑hours attendance often increase the total. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes for your specific job.
Do pool technicians charge call-out fees?
Many pool technicians charge a call-out fee to attend and carry out an initial diagnosis, which is usually separate from hourly labour and parts. After‑hours or emergency visits often attract higher rates. Check the live pricing shown on the page and confirm any call-out or minimum fees when getting quotes.
When do pool technicians need a licence?
Registration or a contractor licence is required in some states, with NSW, QLD and SA commonly requiring a current state contractor licence that can be verified on the public register. Whether a licence is needed often depends on the scope of work, so it's wise to ask for licence details and proof of insurance for larger installations or contractor-level work. Industry memberships and qualifications such as SPASA membership and Certificate III or IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service are common indicators of experience.
