Friendly, efficient, reliable and honest. I find it difficult to believe some of the low rated review. Shaun & the guys were excellent in my experience. I dropped my pump in to get an idea if it was worth fixing (it was noisy, low pump flow and leaking). I figured it was stuffed. I dropped it in and it was a very reasonable $55 for a quote. I got a call within a few hours to say it was very fixable and only a few hundred bucks. They explained the bearing & seals needed replacing and that the capacitor was working, but water damaged so it might last a few weeks/months/years and if I'd like it replaced for only a little bit more. I agreed. I received another phone call later in the day and it was ready to be picked up! These days it's really hard to get such old fashioned honesty,. service and value. Well done!

Thanks so much to the boys at Complete Pump Repairs. I was previously told by another pool shop that my chlorinator had died and I needed to purchase a new one for around $2000. I took Chlorinator into Complete Pump who told me all that was required was to change the cell for about a third the price. Chlorinator is working great and thankfully there are still some honest people around. I will be going back to Complete Pump for all my future pool issues.

Dropped the pump off, and they'd quoted it within the day. Repaired next day, pressure tested the next morning and ready to go. So all up about 36 hours — fantastic. The pump body was cracked, and they popped a 2nd hand one on. Saved a ton of time and money. The pump is as good as new and was just over $400, which was 2/3rds the price of a reco and I did not have to drive to BNE. Great work guys.

Frequently asked questions

How much do pool technicians typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the type of job, its complexity and whether parts or full equipment replacements are required. Call-out fees, diagnostic time and after‑hours attendance often increase the total. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes for your specific job.
Do pool technicians charge call-out fees?
Many pool technicians charge a call-out fee to attend and carry out an initial diagnosis, which is usually separate from hourly labour and parts. After‑hours or emergency visits often attract higher rates. Check the live pricing shown on the page and confirm any call-out or minimum fees when getting quotes.
When do pool technicians need a licence?
Registration or a contractor licence is required in some states, with NSW, QLD and SA commonly requiring a current state contractor licence that can be verified on the public register. Whether a licence is needed often depends on the scope of work, so it's wise to ask for licence details and proof of insurance for larger installations or contractor-level work. Industry memberships and qualifications such as SPASA membership and Certificate III or IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Service are common indicators of experience.
