We recently settled a house in Melbourne. A few weeks ago, we started hearing scratching noises in the ceiling every night. At first we thought it was rats, but we called Area Specialist Pest Solutions to check and found out it was a possum. Their technician was friendly and explained everything clearly — including the legal side of dealing with possums in Australia, which I honestly didn’t know much about. They did a proper inspection of the roof and showed us where the possum was getting in. Then they installed a one-way door and sealed up the gaps with sturdy mesh. A few days later, the noise stopped completely, and they came back to remove the door and finish up the job. Super efficient and respectful of the property. I also liked that they weren't pushy about upselling anything. They mentioned they also handle cockroaches, ants, spiders, rodents, termites, and birds, so I’ll definitely keep them in mind if anything else comes up.

Never realised that there were possums living in our sub-roof till Area Specialist Pest Control technicians came onsite to perform general pest control. Now we know the sound from the sub-roof during the middle of night is from a possum family and they got barred away from entering our house. Highly recommend AS pest Solutions.
