We recently had our house painted by Billy and what a drama!!! This is how our week went - he was only here 3 out of the 6 days, 2 of it a subbie was here, 1 day he just decided he wld let us know on the same morning he cldnt be here, other days showing up anytime he fancies (one of which he showed up over 2 hrs later than promised). His excuse? He doesn't get paid by the hour. What a joke. When you tell a client u'd show up at a certain time, then stick with it. Respect other people's time. 1 of his subbie was brilliant but the other 2 were useless. Jagged lines, missed bits etc no just no attention to details. Everything was supposed to be completed the day before hubby flew back to work but it wasn't, yet Billy demanded 90% of the quote. He was lucky his wife was a lot more sensible n we agreed on abt 80% n the rest to be completed n fully paid when hubby comes home. It's all eventually done to a satisfactory standard but my oh my, this guy shd not run a business. If you do end up using him, make sure everything is WELL documented because between the "no problem" and lack of common sense in some areas, you will need it!!!
