We’re so happy we chose Vision Painting to paint the interior of our home. The cost was reasonable, and the quality of the work was excellent. Hans and Nathan worked seamlessly together with minimal disruption to our daily routine. It quickly became clear that Han's first priority is client satisfaction, he is professional, patient, tidy, and very easy to work with. The project was completed exactly within the timeframe he promised. Even our pets were looked after and happy! 🐕😊 We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hans and Nathan from Vision Painting. Truly a fantastic experience from start to finish.

We hired Vision Painting to paint the interior of our house. They were very flexible with the starting date, to fit in with our schedules. Hans and his team were always punctual, hardworking, polite and as non-intrusive as possible. Their estimate of how long the job would take was spot on and the quote was very competitive. Nothing was too difficult, including us changing our minds about the colours once we saw what they looked like. We are very pleased with the end result. We highly recommend Vision Painting and have already passed on their details to family members. Thank you Hans and Nathan.

I highly recommend Vision Painting and Decorating! Hans did a fantastic job on our house. Great communication and he was flexible in working around our time frames. He (and his co worker) were fast too. They just got in there and got the job done. I also found his pricing really reasonable (especially compared to a few other quotes we got). I couldn’t be happier with the result. Thanks Hans and Team.

Hans and Nathan were professional, punctual, and respectful of our property. They did a fantastic job. I couldn’t be happier with the finished product, and as such I asked them to do more painting for me when I saw the quality of their work. Hans communicated well with me throughout the job and was very happy to answer my many questions. I’d highly recommend them. I thought their price was very reasonable. Thank you Hans and Nathan.

Frequently asked questions

How much do painters typically charge?

Painting costs depend on the size of the job, the condition of existing surfaces, and whether the work is interior, exterior or both. Jobs requiring significant preparation such as sanding, filling or priming will generally cost more than a straightforward repaint over sound surfaces. Most painters quote per square metre or per room, with exterior work and multi-storey access typically attracting higher rates. This page shows live pricing for jobs in your area.

Do painters need a licence in Australia?

Yes. In most Australian states and territories, painters carrying out domestic work above a certain value must hold a trade-specific licence or registration. Licensing requirements and thresholds vary by jurisdiction — for example, NSW requires a Contractor Licence for painting work. A licensed painter should be able to provide their licence number on request, and you can verify it with your state's building authority.

How should I prepare my home before painters arrive?

Most painters will handle masking, drop sheets and surface preparation as part of the job, but clearing the area of furniture, wall hangings and fragile items beforehand helps the job run smoothly and may reduce your quote. For exterior work, ensure the painter has clear access to all walls and that garden beds or outdoor furniture are moved back. Discuss any specific concerns like lead paint, mould or moisture damage before work begins so the painter can plan accordingly.

How do I get a quote from Vision Painting & Decorating?
