Brian was very nice and helpful. Taught me over the phone his little tricks to open the rusty lock of my western power box with my key. Didn't charge me a cent for that!

My mum recently lost the keys to her home, and we called Brian from iLockWA. He came out the very next day and was incredibly helpful. Brian clearly explained what he was going to do and reassured us that safety was his top priority. He also suggested rekeying all the locks to work with one key, which has made my mum’s life so much easier. We really appreciated his professionalism and kindness.

Talk about going the extra mile! Brian was recommend to me by one of his competitors. When I explained where I had lost my car and house keys, he arranged to meet me at the train station drive me home (about 20 minutes drive ) and had me inside in seconds. In the morning he called me when he arrived at the car he told me the process of cutting me two keys and reprogramming them for my car would be about an hour. So stay home until he called then book an uber to get back to the station Can not say enough about how Brian went out of his way to help in my hour of need.

Frequently asked questions

How much do locksmiths typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job — a simple key cut or rekey is usually much less than emergency entry or full hardware replacement. This page shows live pricing for local providers to help you compare options. Many locksmiths charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate and materials, and after-hours or emergency work generally attracts higher rates.
Do locksmiths charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and typically cover travel and the initial assessment. This fee is usually separate from labour and materials and may apply even for quick or small jobs. It's worth confirming any call-out or minimum charge when getting quotes.
Do locksmiths need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Locksmithing is a licensed occupation across Australia, and in NSW licences are issued by the NSW Police Force — Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED). You should expect a provider to display a valid state security licence number and to hold industry credentials such as MLAA, LGA or ASIAL membership, a Certificate III in Locksmithing, an ABN with GST registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
