We engaged Simon to cut & trim overgrown vines and remove debris from both sides of our property fences, it was a big job and took a few hours to complete. What I liked was Simon gave a quote, then followed up with a day and time that was convenient to us. We were very happy with the work, very professional, and have ask Simon to return in a few months to keep the vine under control. P.McKibbin

We have had Simon and his team out to design and landscape our backyard, he is very professional, knowledgeable, and punctual. We have been very happy with his work and attitude. He and his team worked in tough conditions, lots of rock and clay. We would recommend his services to our friends and family. Thanks for the help, Andy.

I uploaded the job on hipages on Monday and Simon was able to fit me in and complete the job the next day. Simon was friendly, on time and was professional. My back area is tiny and he had to bring the soil and turf through my house and was polite enough to ask if he should take off his shoes. If you need a gardener… Simon’s your guy!

Landscaping costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do landscapers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on job type and complexity — a tidy-up is typically much less than a full makeover or structural retaining wall. Materials, labour hours, site access and any required design or engineering work usually drive the price. This page shows live pricing to help you compare current rates.
Do landscapers charge call-out fees?
Most landscapers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Hourly labour rates and after-hours or weekend attendance are often charged at higher rates. It’s worth confirming any minimum fees and what the call-out covers when requesting quotes.
When do landscapers need a licence in Australia?
Landscapers typically need a contractor licence or builder registration when work involves structural or building elements such as engineered retaining walls, footings or major excavation. Providers who undertake structural work will usually display a valid state contractor licence or builder registration, while smaller softscape-only jobs often do not require that registration. Check that any landscaper doing structural work holds the appropriate licence or registration.
