  I had a list of jobs around the house I needed help with and Sam took care of all of them - caulking the sink, hanging shelves and a TV, assembling and installing a cabinet into a tiled wall. She was so thorough from asking for details of materials, surfaces, etc to the video consulation. Sam's work is careful and considered, she explains what she's doing and why. And she cleans up after she's completed the work. I felt so comfortable having her in my home. I recommend Sam to anyone who's looking for a skilled and experienced handywoman.

  It was so refreshing to find someone I felt I could trust, who is upfront with pricing (and no changes!), and offered to teach me how to do the job myself - her 'do-it together' option. This is such a disruption to the normal process of getting small to large jobs done, where you feel at the mercy of whatever tradies tell you, with added lack of transparency on pricing and a lot of consequent stress. Sam's approach is very inclusive and friendly - she's not guarding her knowledge but wants to share and empower others. Give her a call. You won't regret it!

  I had such a great experience with Sam at She Bangs Tool School! She helped me put up custom shelves in my laundry using beautiful, ethically sourced wood. What I loved most is that I got to do it with her guidance. Sam was so patient, friendly, and accommodating, and made the whole process feel fun and empowering. It felt amazing to be hands-on and learn skills I can now use for more DIY projects around my home. Highly recommend if you want quality work and the confidence to do more yourself!
