Peter completed extensive road repairs on our rural property including building a new road, digging out drains, installing a 6m pipe, reshaping the road, placing and rolling gravel, cleaning out blocked concrete pipes, and repairing bitumen. I can honestly say that our road has never looked better. Peter is easy to work with and nothing is too much trouble. He is skilled on the machinery and strives to ensure that the job is completed to a very high standard. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Peter from PRB Property Services. Thanks again Peter!

Peter was great! He was happy to come out to our house and spend time with us discussing the jobs including pointing out where money could be saved by trying another method. We employed Peter to do some drainage work on our driveway, stump and debris removal plus reshaping a large sloping flower bed. He provided a detailed quote, which was very reasonable and his final bill matched his quote. Peter was friendly, hardworking and was flexible in his approach to the work, planning the various jobs around weather and safety considerations. He always checked in with us, on how the job was progressing and explained different options for the various jobs . He is clear and easy to work with and we would not hesitate to get him back to do more work for us and highly recommend PRB Property Services.

Pete from PRB was a pleasure to deal with, on time, efficient and tidy. I would highly recommend him for any property maintenance work.

Frequently asked questions

How much do handymen typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on the task, its complexity and how long the job takes. Simple single-visit repairs or flatpack assembly are typically less than multi-item or specialist work that requires extra trades. This page shows live pricing to help you compare quotes and identify cost drivers.
Do handymen charge call-out fees?
Many handymen charge a call-out fee to attend a property, which is often separate from hourly labour and materials. After-hours attendance or weekend work commonly attracts higher rates. It's a good idea to confirm whether the call-out is included in the quote or charged separately.
What qualifications should I look for in a handyman?
Handymen are generally unlicensed for small jobs, so look for industry affiliations such as the Handyman and Home Maintenance Association, Housing Industry Association (HIA) membership or Master Builders involvement for larger-scope work. Check they hold an ABN, adequate public liability insurance and can provide a clear written quote separating labour and materials. For jobs that become large or high-value, confirm whether a state contractor licence or builder registration may be required.
How do I get a quote from PRB Property Services?
PRB Property Services lists phone, email, or through their website on this profile, so you can contact them directly for pricing and availability. Share a short scope and photos to get a faster quote.
