Wagtail Gardens

Keren has a passion for gardening and a love for growing delicious fruits and vegetables in a sustainable way. She is highly knowledgeable about indigenous and exotic plants and can help you understand what to plant where and how to care for your garden to make it thrive. Keren is kind and considerate and a person you can trust in, and with, your own home/garden space.

Keren is so knowledgeable, but really centers our own experience of the land we're living on and our capacity to redesign the garden spaces. She has already helped us to understand where we're located in terms of seasonal water flows and drought preparation. We're very excited to keep working with her in the coming months to design and build a beautiful garden that considers the climate, and blends native and exotic plants in way that's manageable for us.

Keren knows her stuff! Wonderful talking to her. Gardens should be about people and Keren is about people. Her serious commitment to ecologically responsible gardening with people for people is reflected in the way she listens. Her knowledge base reflects the serious study she has undertaken at Melbourne University: clearly Keren is about evidence based practice. As a person, Keren reflects a gentle collaborative style ….. consulting her is worth the investment

Keren has a wealth of knowledge and experiences, but it’s her love for plants that is so contagious! I have a new appreciation for each herb and tree, and the wisdom shared with me has given me greater confidence to care for soils, nurture plant health and cultivate gardens for the environment, enjoyment and food. Highly recommend Wagtails Garden to anyone who loves to see their garden flourish and get their hands into the soil.

Keren offers a unique approach, combining decades of technical knowledge, tending experience across many diverse contexts, a breadth of well researched expertise in horticulture, physical vigour and competence, and sensitivity to individual needs and interests, with a deeply holistic practice of nourishing, nurturing and sustaining wellbeing for both garden and gardener. With Keren's professional, respectful attention alongside you, your own growing spirit and growing space will thrive with strength, sustainability, and above all, joy!

We've known Keren from Wagtail Gardens as a neighbour and friend for some years, and have always relied on her advice in relation to all things garden, plants, soil and more. She resurrected our gardens and made them a feature of our property. Our Owners Corporation didn't hesitate recently to formally secure Wagtail's services when the opportunity arose.
