Zak has re-fenced our 11.5 acre property and it looks amazing. All the old (and broken) CCA posts, barbwire and degraded farm mesh are gone. Replaced with all Eco-wood Posts, Z-lock Farm Mesh and 2 lines of wire to a 1200m height throughout. To really compliment it, we went with a 3-rail tier Eco-wood Main Front Fence Entry way, with Farm Mesh behind. 2 x additional 3.6m gate entrances were installed also. The property has a complete fresh external look and an eye catching Main entrance. I no longer need to ever worry about keeping my animals secured. Zak was friendly, extremely punctual, with great communication. As a busy property owner, these traits are key to getting a job done well. The price was very reasonable. I will and have been recommending him around the area. Thanks very much Zak. More business to come on my property for you as I have mentioned for sure.

We needed our post replaced on our large rural gate, the fence strained and the gate rehung. Zac was amazing! He arrived on time and was very friendly and prepared to listen. Zac and his coworker worked quickly and efficiently and went above and beyond when they encountered an unexpected problem. The workmanship was excellent and they left everything neat and tidy when they were finished. The pricing was very good compared to other quotes we had. I would definitely recommend Rural Contracting Group for any of the works they carry out.

Fencing costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do fencers typically charge?
Fencing costs vary considerably depending on fence type, length, materials, site conditions and whether existing fencing must be removed. Simple repairs or short runs of standard post-and-paling or Colourbond typically cost less than full replacements or jobs on difficult ground. The page shows live pricing for common fencing jobs, and quotes usually include a call-out fee plus labour and materials, with after-hours work attracting higher rates.
Do fencers charge call-out fees?
Many fencers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, particularly for small or diagnostic visits. This fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials and may be credited against the job total. Confirm whether a call-out fee applies when you request a quote.
When do fencers need a licence?
Fencing work may require registration or a contractor licence in some states and territories; requirements vary by jurisdiction. Jobs that affect safety or involve pool fencing, structural posts or significant replacement work are examples that may trigger registration. Where applicable, look for a valid state contractor licence, ABN with GST, current public liability insurance, industry association membership (for example FIAA) and a White Card.
