Just had to re fence my entire property - Phil was very quick in providing quotes after an onsite visit with various options to reach our goals and stay in budget. Was able to book it in very quickly and prioritised the back yard for the dog. Phil was great with communicating his work plan, dates & times etc and the finished product looks better than we could have imagined - professional job and I’ve been recommending mainline fencing to anyone that will listen!

We have just completed a new house build on the Redcliffe Peninsula and engaged Phil from Mainline Fencing to design and install the side property boundary fence in colour bond steel and a front and corner custom made aluminium fence with electric security gate. The electric gate was hand crafted from 6061 grade aluminium, TIG welded and powder coated locally. Phil provided a colour scheme to match the house perfectly. We are extremely happy with the end result and it completes the final appearance of the new property. We would not hesitate in recommending Phil for your next fencing project.

Phil did an amazing job on a big project at our home in Cooroy. Summer weather was appalling, but he maintained focus and attention to detail the whole time. His communication was excellent, product knowledge spot on and reliability faultless. I would highly recommend him for any and all of your fencing requirements.

I saw Phil's work on a house near our place and was impressed enough to ask him to do a job for us. It turned out to be a great choice. Phil is a perfectionist, offered suggestions to get the best result, and we are really pleased with the result. And he's a nice bloke, as well! Highly recommended!

Phil was great to work with. We are super happy with our fence, and the job was completed very quickly and to a very high standard.

Fencing costs & guides

Frequently asked questions

How much do fencers typically charge?
Fencing costs vary considerably depending on fence type, length, materials, site conditions and whether existing fencing must be removed. Simple repairs or short runs of standard post-and-paling or Colourbond typically cost less than full replacements or jobs on difficult ground. The page shows live pricing for common fencing jobs, and quotes usually include a call-out fee plus labour and materials, with after-hours work attracting higher rates.
Do fencers charge call-out fees?
Many fencers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, particularly for small or diagnostic visits. This fee is generally separate from hourly labour and materials and may be credited against the job total. Confirm whether a call-out fee applies when you request a quote.
When do fencers need a licence?
Fencing work may require registration or a contractor licence in some states and territories; requirements vary by jurisdiction. Jobs that affect safety or involve pool fencing, structural posts or significant replacement work are examples that may trigger registration. Where applicable, look for a valid state contractor licence, ABN with GST, current public liability insurance, industry association membership (for example FIAA) and a White Card.
Is Mainline Fencing licensed?
