Saturday morning, guests arriving shortly from NZ for a week and we hear a muffled bang and see smoke emitting from our electric/solar hot water system. Um, quite freak out! No hot water…Go online, after connecting with a number of after hours answering machines, I connect with a real human, Steve. Quick phone based diagnosis & Steve arrives within the hour, replaces all the burnt out circuit boards and charges a more than reasonable fee for his after hours emergency attendance.
