Highly recommend Brandon for your next electrical job! My sub board with ceramic fuses was really starting to show its age and cause problems around the house. Brandon upgraded my breaker box to current code and safety spec, with only a couple of hours downtime while I was working from home. Transparent pricing, highly-skilled, friendly, and down to earth (pun unintended)!

Brandon and his apprentice arrived on-time, and professionally delivered great service. They fixed a loose power access point, and correctly fitted it using their own materials; they upgraded my living room switch plate to include a dimmer and fixed another faulty power access point last minute. Brandon even sourced a dimmable LED light (more cost efficient than halogen lights, according to Brandon) from the local Bunnings warehouse. Both he and his apprentice were friendly, personable, and cleaned up after themselves. I would sincerely recommend their service, if you are looking for a safe and reliable sparky to get the job done.

We had Westar install down lights, replace our fan and a few other odd electrical jobs. initial contact with Brandon was very professional and he was prompt in his response. He was on time and a pleasure to deal with. Dean and Julian completed the job and we’re efficient, tidy and very polite. Would definitely recommend these guys and will call them back to do more jobs in the future. :)

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
Does Westar Electrical Co. have a verified ABN?
Yes. Westar Electrical Co. has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
