I had Ash from Melix electrical do some work on my investment property. He turned up on time, provided multiple solutions to things I wanted installed, keeping in mind my budget requirements. He was clean and tidy and everything worked first time, no issues. Can definitely recommend.

Ash was very well spoken and professional with his work. Got here on time and helped out more than he had too. Very pleased with him. Outstanding electrician, recommend highly.

I engaged the services of Ash and was suitably impressed by his professional and trustworthy attitude and approach to my request for a quote. Ash was very helpful providing ideas and solutions through a visit to my house and the finish product was a testament to his ability as an electrician. I can tell you that whilst he wasn’t the cheapest quote I received, he definitely wasn’t the most expensive however I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for and I must say he did a really good job. I would definitely be utilising his services in the future when the time arises and would highly recommend. Thanks Ash

I recently had some electrical work done on my investment property and was very impressed with the service. Trustworthy, reliable, and reasonably priced—exactly what you hope for when hiring a tradesperson. I was able to hand over the keys and know the job would be done properly without needing to be there. Quality workmanship, great communication, and everything completed on time. Highly recommended and will definitely use again in the future.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
How do I get a quote from Melix Electrical Contracting?
