We have always used Grant Robinson for all our electrical work for many many years. He’s an excellent tradesman, he works quickly and efficiently, his prices are fair and competitive, he turns up when he says he will (and on time) and is totally reliable and honest …AND cleans up after himself (a tradie trait you don’t see that often anymore). Highly recommended Grant - we wouldn’t use anyone else!

Grant has been our go-to sparkie for a number of years now. He is reliable, professional, and an overall top bloke to deal with. He also knows the right Level 2 electricians to go to, and other contractors. This knowledge and willingness to help has proved invaluable to us on more than one occasion.

I had an electrical fault in my garage so I called an electrician to repair the fault but he was unable to diagnose or rectify the problem. I asked a work colleague if she knew any electricians and she said her husband had used Grant Robinson Electrical a couple of times and that he had been operating locally in the Blue Mountains for many years. He turned up when he said he was going to be there and within an hour or so had found the problem and rectified it. He mentioned he had only seen this issue one other time in 30 years of contracting. His price was fair and reasonable. Although his help and experience was just about priceless.

Frequently asked questions

How much do electricians typically charge?
Costs vary depending on the job type, how much fault-finding is needed, and whether switchboard or circuit work is involved. Electricians typically charge a call-out fee plus an hourly labour rate, and after-hours attendance usually attracts higher rates. Check the live pricing on this page to compare local quotes.
Do electricians charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and are usually charged separately to labour and materials to cover travel and the initial assessment. Some providers may also have a minimum charge for small jobs, so it's worth confirming any call-out or minimum fees when requesting quotes.
Do electricians need a licence in Australia?
Yes — electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW licensing is through NSW Fair Trading. Electricians should display a valid state electrical licence number on quotes and advertising and will usually issue a Certificate of Electrical Safety on completion of work.
Does Grant Robinson Electrical have a verified ABN?
Yes. Grant Robinson Electrical has completed ABN verification on SureQuote.
