Half way through an extensive home renovation with Black Rock and have to comment on the high level of professionalism and quality of work I’ve seen thus far. Owner Dan was very easy to work with and highly qualified with lots of experience and ideas. First time renovator so there were lots of unknowns for me which Dan made the time and effort to slowly explain everything and provide design ideas too. He was also very flexible with me wanting my own way or deviating from suggestions (so not pushy either which is great), demonstrating the core principles this company goes by which is that the client is the boss :D His team Tony and Nick were also fantastic and had some great suggestions too when we had challenges. I made lots of variations which they were able to accommodate. Everything has so far been reasonable and fairly priced. Dan has come back multiple times to review the quality of work and made sure as the owner I was happy, and also to listen to any changes I wanted. Communication has always been responsive (in many cases follow up by him which is very different to the stereotype that tradies aren’t responsive). Would definitely use again for small or big jobs. For reference, I was re-wiring the whole house, upgrading to Level 2, new switchboard, moving the electrical cable that attaches to the house from the street electrical pole to ensure it’s Ausgrid standard, 50+ downlights, new PowerPoints across house house so kitchen bathrooms bedrooms etc aaandd it’s a double brick home so lots of chasing. Big job and there’s been no issues - one less worry :) Thanks team!

We engaged Dan Midghall from Blackrock Electrical, was expertly supported by his excellent and friendly team members Nick and Tony, to do a range of pretty significant electrical works at our home in the Inner West. The works included supplying and installing a new power board and meter, relocating all existing wiring from our existing pre-historic and every inaccessible board to the new one, installing new wiring from the point of attachment from the street to the new board, installing a new mains power meter, fixing a number of annoying electrical issues, installing a new circuit for an induction cooktop, and installing a few lights and power points. Dan and his great team were at all times very professional, polite and helpful, communicating well in the lead up to start of the works. The fact that Dan is a Level 2 certified electrician meant he and his team were able to supply and install a new power meter and arrange for connection to the supply. He also facilitated our application with Origin Energy to make the whole power board and meter upgrade process smooth and efficient. Dan, Nick and Tony arrived onsite on time, and were very courteous, and rare in today's world, all three lads had great manners. They could not have been more helpful, respectful, careful and flexible. They remained very focused on getting the job done right and to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble, even down to cleaning up after work was completed and removing all rubbish. It really was a pleasure to have them at our home. I am extremely happy with the end to end customer service experience and the quality of work I received from the wonderful boys at Blackrock and cannot speak highly enough of these very competent lads. They are truly a credit to their industry and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering them for any work. To Dan, Nick and Tony thank you for a job so expertly done and we are very grateful.

Dan is a complete professional and backs it up with great knowledge. We had a somewhat complicated request for 3 phase installation and Dan and his team worked tirelessly to liaise with AusGrid and get the necessary approvals. The quality of the final work was excellent and the team also rectified an issue with my mains fuse and returned with the necessary parts to fix it. Would absolutely recommend.

Dan is an absolute professional whom I cannot recommend highly enough. He came in to fix up a Tesla wall charging unit for us from another tradesperson, which could have had quite disastrous consequences had Dan not been engaged. Would absolutely recommend him and use him again for any future works we undertake.

Blackrock have done several jobs for us and have always been efficient, professional, friendly and done a quality job. Their costs are very reasonable and they have gone above and beyond to fit in some emergency electrical work when we needed it. Highly recommended.
