We would like to thank Brian, Craig and Daniel for the excellent job they did in installing 8 large Brio flyscreen doors and two VERY large custom made barn doors. From quote through to a difficult installation due to the height and weight of the doors, they were a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.
Do door installers charge call-out fees?
Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.
Do door installers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
How do I get a quote from WHF Doors?
