Zac and Matt did a great job today, installing a pleated flyscreen to the balcony door of my apartment. Prior to this, John was happy to come by to offer recommendations and estimate. The screen frame is sleek and compact and fits the aesthetic of the existing door and frame. I am super happy with the result and have no hesitation in recommending JMZ Security Doors and Screens. Thanks team.

JMZ have installed security doors and screens in two homes I’ve lived in. The team are knowledge about their products, professional and courteous. The end products are fantastic. I’ve referred JMZ to family and friends who have enjoyed the same easy and stress free experience. Congratulations John, Michelle and Zac. I would highly recommend JMZ. 👍

Couldn't recommend highly enough. We had security screen doors (both hinged and sliding) security screens on windows and with large dogs crashing into and scratching them they are still as good as they were when install (maybe dirtier). Great product, solid pricing, exception workmanship when it came to installation BUT what stood out was the great communication through the process from measuring, advise on product for our needs, fast quoting and again the workmanship/attention to detail. Will be having more work done by JMZ. Thanks again

Frequently asked questions

How much do door installers typically charge?
Costs vary widely depending on whether the job is a simple adjustment, a standard internal or external door install, or work involving custom doors or frame modifications. Quotes commonly combine a call-out fee, hourly labour and materials, with after-hours or emergency work usually attracting higher rates. The live pricing shown on this page reflects current regional rates and the typical job bands for each type of work.
Do door installers charge call-out fees?
Many door installers charge a call-out fee to attend and assess the job, and this is usually separate from labour and materials. Call-out fees are common in the rate card, though they may sometimes be waived if substantial work proceeds; it’s worth confirming this when requesting a quote. After-hours or weekend attendance often attracts higher rates.
Do door installers need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Door installers generally need a contractor licence or registration in every Australian state and territory; in NSW the relevant authority is the Building Commission NSW (formerly NSW Fair Trading). Look for a valid state contractor licence or registration displayed on quotes and advertising, an ABN with active registration and appropriate public liability insurance.
