From the moment we contacted Gravity to the demo being completed we were impressed with the stellar communication from Ellen (our contact person) and the work of the site team. Our site was clean, clear and all completed in the timeframe outlined. Never having completed a knock down, Ellen was so patient with my questions and happy to help. Great price, great service- thanks for helping us prepare for our build

These guys demolished my home in 2019. They got the job done quickly and very professionally. They were also kind and understanding with my elderly neighbours which is really important to me. Communication was not amazing but if I ever called or messaged about progress they would always quickly be in touch.

Demolition was done very professionally and even our neighbours were looked after/kept informed. They were very flexible with us on a delayed start date. Would recommend these guys.

They did a great job in demolishing my property. Great communication before commencing the job, although there are room to improve their communication during the job. Will certainly recommend them.

Frequently asked questions

How much do demolition contractors typically charge?
Costs for demolition contractors vary widely depending on the job's scope and complexity. Simple non-hazardous stripouts are generally much less than jobs involving structural work or hazardous-material removal, and factors like site access, waste disposal and after-hours attendance can increase costs. The live pricing shown on this page can help you compare current quotes.
Do demolition contractors charge call-out fees?
Call-out fees are common and often cover travel and the initial assessment, typically separate from hourly labour rates. After-hours or emergency attendance usually attracts higher labour rates or loadings. It's worth confirming any call-out, minimum charge or after-hours rates when requesting quotes.
Do demolition contractors need a licence in Australia?
Yes. Demolition contractors require a state demolition licence or registration in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW the regulator is SafeWork NSW. Where asbestos is present, an appropriate asbestos removal licence (Class A or B) is generally needed; also check for an ABN, adequate public liability insurance and workers' compensation cover if staff are employed.
