Excellent work demolishing our big old fibro house. Jason and his brother Shane (site manager) were top blokes running a dedicated and hardworking team. All the demo guys on site were approachable and polite. They all got along well with each other, and made an effort to minimize any impact their work had on my family. I had booked the job 2 years beforehand (delays due to council etc) and when I was finally ready to get the demo done, Jason made it a priority, and got the site cleared in the time I needed. He liaised with our builder in a collegial manner too. They worked fast, but carefully too. When they found old leadlight windows behind some walls, they carefully preserved them for me. Nice touch! Jason was very fair on price. Our job was one of those old houses that had slab after slab in the ground, and layers of sheet metal in walls and on roof. They didn’t complain, and they didn’t hike their price. There was only one variation made, based on an unexpected asbestos issue in a concealed slab, which they told me about in real time, and were very fair on the price. I highly recommend this company. They don’t muck around, and they deliver what they promise.

After hearing a lot of horror stories we were very skeptical on who to go with for our house demolition. These guys were extremely professional. They battled through terrible weather to get the job finished for us and they left the site extremely clean and neat. All of the crew were very polite and had great taste in music. 🎵 We were kept up to date throughout the whole demolishion and were very pleased that we chose Central Coast Demolishion ! Thankyou Jason and crew ! 😃

I have never met a company that goes above and beyond for their clients to get the job done. Jason and his crew faced some unexpected challenges with my property that no one could predict. They exceeded my expectations and are absolute machines in getting the job done. I had a few days of rain, and my site was so clean; I can't recommend them enough.

Frequently asked questions

How much do demolition contractors typically charge?

Costs for demolition contractors vary widely depending on the job's scope and complexity. Simple non-hazardous stripouts are generally much less than jobs involving structural work or hazardous-material removal, and factors like site access, waste disposal and after-hours attendance can increase costs. The live pricing shown on this page can help you compare current quotes.

Do demolition contractors charge call-out fees?

Call-out fees are common and often cover travel and the initial assessment, typically separate from hourly labour rates. After-hours or emergency attendance usually attracts higher labour rates or loadings. It's worth confirming any call-out, minimum charge or after-hours rates when requesting quotes.

Do demolition contractors need a licence in Australia?

Yes. Demolition contractors require a state demolition licence or registration in every Australian state and territory, and in NSW the regulator is SafeWork NSW. Where asbestos is present, an appropriate asbestos removal licence (Class A or B) is generally needed; also check for an ABN, adequate public liability insurance and workers' compensation cover if staff are employed.
