From the outset to completion the process has been seamless. The initial consultation was respectful and considerate of our needs. The installers were prompt and efficient. They left everything clean and tidy. We would highly recommend this company who acted with professionalism from start to finish.

We contacted Altec for a quote to replace our old shade sail carport that had been affected by black soil movement. This was right as Cyclone Alfred was about to hit, and we were lucky enough to have Rob Hyde as our Sales Manager on the day. Rob was calm, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the first meeting, we were impressed by his knowledge, transparency, and the quality of the design he recommended. At the time, we could not proceed due to upcoming family holidays and the need to sort out finance. Rob gave us an excellent price that he honoured for six months, and we also took advantage of their birthday special discounts, which made the overall cost fantastic value. When we returned, Rob was back within days to do an initial measure, refine the pricing further, and arrange the check measure. He was always on time, easy to reach, and kept us informed throughout. Altec handled absolutely everything from start to finish, including contacting the council, securing approvals, and providing detailed designs. The process was seamless and stress free. We chose their top tier carport option, which is not Colourbond, and it has the highest heat dispersion rating. The difference has been incredible. Even in the middle of summer, it keeps the area noticeably cooler. The check measure team were professional and efficient. Although there was a short wait due to Altec’s popularity and other projects running slightly over time, it was worth it. Everything was completed before summer, and the end result exceeded our expectations. For installation, Altec use independent contractors, and we were fortunate to have Tim and Michael from TJM Builders. They were outstanding from start to finish. Both are perfectionists who take real pride in their work. They explained every step clearly, worked long days to get it right, and even corrected a design oversight that had not accounted for our front pillar. Instead of cutting corners, they made it better, using extra materials they had on hand to give us a larger and stronger carport than planned. Since the installation and going into storm season, we have already had two large hail events and several severe storms. The carport handled everything perfectly. Our cars were completely protected, and the structure did an amazing job. It is solid and clearly built to last. Michael even returned after one of the storms to personally check how everything held up and to make sure there was nothing they missed. That level of care and pride in their work is rare and deeply appreciated. The carport looks fantastic, keeps everything dry, and the temperature difference underneath is remarkable. Getting into the car on a hot day is now comfortable instead of unbearable. Tim and Michael also cleaned up all waste and left the area spotless. Our neigbours have been jealous of our car port, and have used it on several occasions when we were not there to protect their vehicles during storms, and have referred several family members and friends to Rob for future projects. Very, very happy!

From quote to build completion the team at Altec were just great ! Clear communication and timely updates from the office and the build by Joe & Keith ( top blokes !) exceeded all our expectations, brilliant experience and we would not hesitate to highly recommend! 6 Stars !

We engaged Altec to build a carport, extend our backyard patio and install a deck. We have nothing but praise for their professionalism and open communication especially when problems arose. It took a while to get the work started, but we now have a beautiful backyard deck and patio, and (finally) some shade for my car. I like to thank Matthew who came out and spent time patiently meeting us and going through the plans, Joel and his apprentice for building the patio, deck and carport (awesome job!!), and Regan for overseeing the project. I am so happy with my new patio, it has given my house a whole facelift, a more modern look and will undoubtedly increase the value of my home.
