  Let me start by saying Jack the hat Harvey is a phenomenal builder/ carpenter and a really terrific person. Jack learned his trade in the UK where his dad is a builder as well. I’ve known and worked with Jack for about 7 years and he consistently impresses with his skill set and his thoughtful approach to all his jobs. Jack is extremely thorough and accurate, yet fair with his very detailed scope of work quotes. At a time when many trades submit often inflated quotes to strata management companies as I personally have evidenced , Jack has become a highly valued, honest and reliable tradie, for all kinds of jobs big and small. Having worked with Jack on several strata jobs I can attest to substantial cost savings when compared to other inflated quotes. I recently worked alongside Jack on a reasonably large project where we replaced garage fascias and barge boards. Jack was always punctual and was always there til late in the day and always left the site clean and tidy. The workmanship is exemplary and the finished job outstanding. Jack has also proved to be quite useful with difficult water ingress issues that would be beyond your average handyman. As an older guy I’ve seen and worked with many tradies, Jack the hat is one of the very smartest and best and will tackle the most difficult and complicated jobs that others would either baulk at or deliver a substandard job. You may have to wait a few weeks to get Jack however very much worth the wait.

  Jack is an extremely professional carpenter. I was extremely impressed with his ability to deliver what was promised and more. His ability to respond straight away, great communication skills in checking in with the process and time frame of things made him extremely reliable and trustable. The request was to build 2 ukulele trolley (with slots for 30 ukuleles in each) as they do not stock these in Music stores anywhere in Australia. Jack's completed product of the two ukulele trolleys showed great personalisation as the original designs had the numbers written on each seperate stand, however instead he cut the 60 numbers out of wood and glued them on making them look very fancy and stylish. I would recommend Jack as a carpenter confidently as he definitely shows passion, commitment and pride in his work. Here are some photos of his completed Ukulele trolley's.

  We would definitely use Jack again and recommend his work to others. Jack was innovative and completed the work to a very high standard, we are thrilled with his work. A true professional, Jack was always on time, courteous and tidied up thoroughly. We had another tradesperson working at the house and Jack helped problem solve their work for which we are grateful. The work that Jack completed turned out to be more time intensive than we expected but Jack made time, worked hard and efficiently and was still able to complete it which we are very appreciative of.

  Jack showed up spot-on time every day. He repaired and painted my kitchen ceiling, patched big holes around new light fittings and installed a cat-flap through a concrete wall (complete with custom timber lining). The quality of his work is brilliant and his price was very reasonable. He also cleaned up after he finished! Unbelievable!! I would not hesitate calling Jack again...

  For some years now we have been wanting to replace our aged Miele ovens but hadn’t been able to accommodate replacements in the existing cavities. We contacted Jack who inspected the project and was able to provide a solution which included refiguring the spaces for two ovens and modifying a drawer in the space. Jack was extremely helpful in all facets of the job, very professional, punctual and polite. The work was completed to our total satisfaction and the new oven stack was completed without any complications. Jack had also arranged for his electrician colleague to visit immediately after the carpentry work was completed. We would definitely use Jack again and highly recommend him for all carpentry jobs. It was a pleasure having Jack do the job for us.

  Jack the Hat, is very professional, punctual and very good at what he does. Even thought my first job with him was a few small maintenance and fix Work and required a few date changes to accommodate my availability. He provided great expert advice, suggestion on the issues that I had and smart solutions to handy problems I had at home. His price is competitive and quality is unbelievable. Highly recommended and will definitely use him again.
