GTG Constructions

We met Tom in 2024 when he was next door on a job. We grabbed his details and he turned up the next day to see what we needed done. The list was long but Tom was so very thorough with his suggestions and very professional once we went ahead with the renovation. Stage one was two decks, one was added and one replaced. Next came a total flip of our upstairs build. Stage two was opening up a kitchen lounge dining onto the deck. Two bedrooms and a bathroom, don’t forget the butlers pantry! Stage three became an unexpected job after the flood. Tom and his crew were there when we needed help to replace and repair downstairs bathroom and walls. Stage four is due to start this year to add a master bedroom and WIR with ensuite. GTG are a great company and we are glad we met Tom when we did! Haylea does a lot of behind the scenes work too and of course all his trades are a lovely bunch of people who are all very professional and understanding.

We hired GTG Constructions initially to renovate our ensuite bathroom, main bathroom and also to extend the master bedroom which would incorporate an unused balcony. Additionally GTG Constructions extended the paved area of our pool and built a cabana. Tom and his team did an incredible job, a superb transformation. My wife and I are thoroughly delighted with the results. Tom and his team’s attention to detail and very high standard of workmanship throughout the build process was evident. Communication with Tom is also one of his strengths, he was always immediate in his response whenever a question needed answered. I can thoroughly recommend Tom and GTG Constructions.

We had Tom and his team renovate our powder room and laundry. It wasn’t a small job and required closing off the external door to the laundry - cutting through an existing wall to make the laundry accessible internally. All of the trades who worked on the job were friendly. When one small mishap occurred Tom offered options on fixing it immediately and was completely transparent. We will engage GTG for any future Reno’s on our home :)

Tom was very responsive from the very moment we asked for a quote. No question was ever unanswered and Tom always explained everything in detail. Tom built our deck and pergola early in the year then we got him back to do our retaining wall and drainage later in the year. He worked within our budget for both projects even though the overwhelming thought of expense was our initial worry at the beginning of the projects. We absolutely love our backyard and will be utilising Tom as our contractor for all future projects. I highly recommend GTG Constructions. See before and after pictures attached.

We engaged Tom from GTG Constructions to project manage and renovate our bathroom including some other general renovations around the home. We have a pretty unconventional house (A-frame) and I was really particular about the look and feel I wanted. Tom was amazing from the start - he had excellent communication, turned up when he said he would, had a great group of trades and ran decisions by me. When we hit an unexpected snag that impacted the design I wanted for the bathroom, Tom immediately came out to meet his trades on site and we were able to make a slight change that meant the design didn't have to change - I was honestly shocked and super appreciative at how quickly he turned up to get it sorted. I gave Tom a really specific brief on what I wanted for the linen cupboard door which he sourced for me and confirmed before ordering that I was happy with the look and price. He had new flashings made for the skylights because he wasn't confident that the ones supplied with the skylights wouldn't leak in the future - which he obviously confirmed with us before he ordered. We knew what day and time each trade was turning up and Tom contacted us in advance if there was a change. We even knew when the apprentice's TAFE teacher was coming for his site visit. Considering how difficult it is to get trades to turn up, communicate and even acknowledge a woman on site, Tom and his trades went above and beyond my expectations everyday. The bathroom turned out amazing and we couldn't be happier with the end result. We'll be using Tom again for the future renovations we have planned and would recommend him without any hesitation.
