Comoda Design & Renovation

I cannot speak highly enough about Comoda Design and Renovation. From the first point of contact to organise a discussion on our ideas, to the first meeting to bring the vision to life, right through to the build, it has been so easy to deal with Prince and his team. Communication was great, with lots of information supplied, updates given on timeframes, clear and concise quote, easy payment options and a team that is dedicated to quality - little bits I never would have noticed were picked up on inspection and rectified quickly. We were particularly fortunate as our build was a matter of some urgency following an accident that would require a family member to be in a wheelchair. We not only added an extension, expanded our deck and converted a bedroom to a bathroom, but we also gutted the kitchen, removed walls and changed our living area into a gorgeous open plan. Prince, Christine, Kellie and the entire build team made it so easy to deal with, and while we did have some minor timeframe changes, the information was always communicated to us and Comoda worked really hard to deliver, managing work arounds when materials weren’t available. We have loved dealing with Comoda, and would not hesitate to use them again for any future works. If you want honesty, quality and great value, they are a great option.

We have recently enlisted the help of Comoda to renovate our laundry and ensuite bathrooms. Right from the get-go, Christine our project manager, was the first person who got back to us with an estimated quote and advice regarding availability. The communication from the team was timely, concise and clear. We had no renovation experience and relied on the expertise of Christine and her team for advice right from the beginning. We felt that Christine was professional, honest and we could trust her for advice. Our project took 6 weeks and finished on time. While the team worked at our place and we lived off-site, we were impressed at how organised they kept it. At the end of their shift, tools and materials were packed neatly. The areas were kept clean and safe. During the works, we got daily updates of progress and Christine was prompt in contacting us for any decisions to be made if anything arose. We are extremely happy with the work that they have done, and felt very much involved in the whole project thanks to the great communication of the team. Highly recommended.

I recently updated 2 bathrooms in my rental property. Prince took over the project management with my brief and budget in mind and without any hassle produced 2 beautiful bathrooms. He came up with a space-saving design that made the 2 small bathrooms feel bright and airy while maintaining the heritage feel of the 1820's home. I am very happy with the renovation to my unit. The new cornice work did detach from the ceiling and when I rang Comoda they had it fixed within 3 days. Only downside was when the renovation was complete but I was waiting on a shower screen replacement my contact at Comoda no longer took my calls or responded to my emails when I was chasing up this replacement, this is very poor after sales service. I would also say that this is the first "how did we do" request and it was received 9 months after the renovation was completed.

We had Indesign do a full renovatation of our bathrooms and a kitchen makeover. The work was done as agreed, in the time agreed and for the agreed price. But the best thing was the hands on project management from Christine and the quality tradespeople they engaged. All the tradies were polite, on time, did quality work and were always accommodating of any questions or changes we had along the way. Christine ensured we were happy with the project and immediately addressed any issues. We loved her design skill and really found her assistance in choosing materials of great value. Basically we were very happy with Indesign and love the updates to our home.

My wife found Comoda on Instagram and reached out to them for a quote for a full kitchen renovation at our house in Morningside. Along with the kitchen, we had some other little bits and pieces to be done too. Prince (the founding MD), came to our house and spent 3 hours with my wife getting an understanding for what she wanted. He did some sketches and offered ideas which my wife was happy with. Other businesses we reached out to wanted an up-front payment to provide us with a quote ($300) and offered less value in the process than Prince did. We went with Comoda and we're both very glad we did. The outcome was everything we wanted it to be and the process was very smooth the whole way through with practically no issues along the way. Comoda provided us with an online schedule we could use to see what was happening on what day throughout the reno. They were always on site when they said they would be. The guys who worked at our house were very professional, polite, helpful and tidy. At the end of every day they would clean up and make the house totally safe for our family to use. If there was any issue, they were dealt with quickly and effortlessly by Comoda with no complaints or argument. They started and finished the renovation on time. I would absolutely use them again and my wife and I are already talking about our next ideas for the house and we fully intend to use Comoda again.
