We chose Fernando and Amani Kitchens after getting other quotes and meeting with other companies. We decided to go with Fernando as he was very proud of his company and his customer feedback. We are so glad we did. Fernando, Stewart and Joel all exceeded our every expectation. We asked advice on other doors that needed fixing, one bathroom mirror door that was broken and the other was a large pantry door that wouldn’t shut properly. Their advice and time given to help us with this was exceptional. We only needed doors, drawer fronts and panels replaced in our 20 year old kitchen along with a new glass splash back. They constantly provided suggestions and checked in along the way to be sure we were happy. Any questions we had were swiftly addressed and if we could give them more than FIVE STAR feedback we absolutely would. Thanks, team, for your professional, polite, swift service, we will be recommending you to everyone we know.

Fernando and his team have built two wonderful kitchens for my family and I. We went with Fernando because he wasn’t pushy and listened to what we needed . We ended up with two different kitchens that fit in with our budget . Recently, our rangehood needed replacing and I called Fernando to get a recommendation on an installer. Fernando kindly purchased a replacement for us and installed it. He sent one of his team , Joel, who came on time , installed the replacement and cleaned up before leaving . Great customer service from the team at Amani Kitchens .

Cabinet Making costs & guides

What are typical cabinet making costs?See typical price ranges for common cabinet making jobs.

Frequently asked questions

How much do cabinet makers typically charge?

Costs vary widely depending on the job type, size, materials and complexity, and whether on‑site fabrication or after‑hours attendance is required. The prices shown on this page update live and reflect typical call‑out and labour charges plus materials. Simple repairs are generally much less than full kitchen or built‑in installations.

Do cabinet makers charge call-out fees?

Many cabinet makers charge a call‑out fee to attend and assess a job, which is usually separate from labour and materials. After‑hours or emergency attendance is often charged at a higher rate. Check each quote to see whether a call‑out fee is included or listed separately.

When do cabinet makers need a licence?

Some states expect cabinet makers to hold contractor registration or a valid licence, and providers in NSW, VIC, QLD and SA commonly display state contractor registration on quotes and advertising. Requirements vary by state, so check your local state regulator for the exact rules that apply to your job.
