  We undertook a major renovation of a 1970s house which involved completely gutting and re-inventing it. I have to hand the success of the project to Brent and his team at Ablewest as not only was the quality of work flawless, but his input and smart ideas really made it what it was (see photos). Brent and his team were excellent to deal with - all tradesman were reliable, worked at a high standard, and always cleaned up afterwards. Brent is a perfectionist and ensured everything was done right. We used a number of other companies for various aspects of the project, and Ablewest would be the only company I would use again. Other companies were terrible to deal with which seems to be the norm in Perth. If you want the job done right then Ablewest are the way to go - I would highly recommend.

  We used Brent and his team to build an outdoor deck, roof and convert a study into a bathroom. From the get go, I could tell that Brent has very high standards for himself and this came through in every aspect of the job. It was quite tricky converting a room that was not done to code and we ran into a few issues but Brent and his team always worked extra hard to solve all the surprises! They did an absolutely fabulous job. I was always impressed with the professionalism, workmanship, communication and timeliness of all the people he contracted to work on the project. He also took great care in making sure everything was always neat, tidy and safe. I highly recommend Ablewest Construction and happy to give a verbal reference.

  Renovating an old building is a bit of a leap into the dark. You don't quite know what you'll find or how long it will take. My renovation wasn't a makeover but a lot of work that would ultimately not be visible. A lot of mine was inside walls and window structures. It was great to have a trusted professional to advise me along the way. At all times Brent kept me informed of any price increases and explained why certain things needed doing, being mindful that the budget was not inexhaustible. I can't imagine anyone's is! I was fearful of the amount of dust and mess but the the finish was beautiful and gave me a good feeling of having put things right.

  Brent is a good communicator, consequently decision-making processes are orderly. I got pleasure from working collaboratively with his team and seeing a high standard of work as the outcome. Brent was happy to listen to my anxieties about things I don't understand, and, one thing that is huge in heritage buildings, he was willing to continue with the maintenance issues after a job was finished.

  We have used Ablewest Construction for various projects at our different properties over the years. Including construction of a timber/colorbond patio, installation of French doors, building inspection and repair of timber roofing. We have always found Brent's work to be of a high standard. He is very prompt and communicates well on all aspects of the work. We would highly recommend Ablewest for any building projects. John & Karen
