Firstly, I would like to thank Alex and his crew on how thankful I am for the work they did at my house. Alex and his team were very reliable, always on time and their workmanship was faultless. To add a 5th bedroom onto my house that flows with the existing floor plan and blends perfectly with the other bedrooms was a fantastic edition. On the exterior of my house, a merbau seating box was built around my pool area and looks fantastic with the size and positioning of it to maximise full spacing in the pool area. Thanks heaps Alex, much appreciated and best yet, came under my budget for all work to be completed which was amazing leading into Christmas. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We couldn’t be happier with the build quality, time, suggested improvements, cost and overall results. Renovating our property with Smithkon was not without hiccups and challenges but Alex and his team were great in leading us through to solutions. Alex was so professional, trustworthy and thorough, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and his team to anyone and would love to build again with Smithkon in future (as a development because we adore our house!).

We have just finished our build down the Peninsula with Smithkon - Alex Smith. This is my 6th build and without doubt the most pleasing and professional build we have done to date. If I have another build in me Alex will be the first I would call. From the get go we had a very positive vibe about Alex and his capability to deliver - despite the chaos of the industry at that time. We had the opportunity to view his recently completed build in Mornington and were blown away with the finishes and design - remarkably similar to our proposed build in almost every facet….. that’s what we wanted ours to look and feel like !!!! Between July 22 and December 22, Alex and I worked together to gain the building permit for the plans we designed. Nothing was too much trouble and his network of industry contacts achieved the permit approval in December 2022 - whilst we were oversea in the US - Alex owned the process like it was his without hesitation and with unwavering communication. Building commenced in early 2023 with the slab poured on 31/1/23. Whilst I am totally confident that the build would have been brilliant without any further input from us - we dialoged daily - and embraced suggestion for tweaks and special touches to enhance the build. The build took ….. 4 months to the day …. Yep exactly as had been tabled at the beginning by Alex - I didn’t think it was possible…. But it was. The house is truly perfect …. Tiling, plastering … alignment angles …. Downlight positioning… cabinetry….. All perfect ….. its never been this easy with such a satisfying outcome. Alex is a perfectionist and in an industry of “ near enough is good enough” a rarity indeed. And a shout out to his extended team of trades - guys - awesome seeing your care and attention to detail - and good blokes as well….. thank you. Dealing with Smithkon was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. Alex and his team were very easy to deal with. Not only did he deliver us a high quality home, he delivered it on time and on budget. The things we really appreciated were that he was always contactable or made time to call back ASAP and always addressed and resolved any issues quickly. His trades were polite to the neighbours the whole time ( 6 months) with some even passing on compliments of him and his trades. His scheduling of work was impeccable, there was always someone working on the project. There were also some adjustments to the plan that were suggested by his team that made the renovation flow even better than we had imagined. We felt like our job/reno was Smithkons first priority even though they had more than one job on the go. Dealing with Alex after hand over has been great too, we would definitely build again with Alex and highly recommend him to anyone thinking of a renovation or a new build.
