Lara brought something special to the styling of my mid-century apartment in St Kilda. I was really happy with the result. She blended key pieces from their stock with my existing furniture and it looked fantastic. I got so many “wow”s from friends and family when I showed them around. We were selling our house in Brunswick and were worried about styling. As buyers we had seen houses like ours (which had a lot of character) being styled in a very bland generic way and wanted to avoid that as we felt it would be detrimental to the campaign. We were recommended to get in touch with Design + Diplomacy by a friend. After talking to Lara on the phone, it was obvious that she was the person for the job and we completely trusted her (also worth noting that her quote was 2k under a competitor’s quote). She did an amazing job with the styling and we had a massive amount of interest in the house (almost 90 people through in first two weeks of the campaign). Our house ended up selling before auction for almost 300k over the initial top end of the quote. Couldn’t be happier!

If you're reading this review, then you're probably at the point where I was just a few months back, inching closer to the start of your sales campaign. Trolling the internet and Instagram for hours trying to narrow your options of stylists, before moving on to obtain quotes (like you didn't have enough things on your plate at the moment, right?). We engaged the services of Design and Diplomacy to style our house in Thornbury for several reasons. They were competitively priced, their communication and enthusiasm was second to none and thirdly (and arguably most importantly), we chose D&D because they specialize in interior design – so they’re not ‘just’ about linen and cushions. We handed over our keys and an empty house, and they transformed it into a home that told a story to the new owners about how they could use the space in a casual, yet sophisticated way. My real estate agents fed back that the vast majority of people who visited the home over our campaign asked over who styled it – and that’s testament to the amazing job that Nicole and her team did – which in my eyes, is without peer. I’m so proud to say that our investment in D&D’s services paid off spectacularly as we sold up to 10% over our reserve, which we believe has every bit to do with the care and level of detail executed in the staging. We are now looking forward to employing their services again in the very near future!
