  Amazing - We couldn't be happier with our new home and the entire building process, thanks to Carland Constructions! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The team was an absolute delight to work with. Every single person we interacted with was lovely, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making our vision a reality. They were always approachable, ready to answer our questions, and kept us informed every step of the way. Their communication was excellent, and we always felt like a valued part of the process. We are coming up on two years post completion, we can confidently say that our new home is incredibly comfortable and beautifully built. The attention to detail is evident throughout, and the quality of craftsmanship is truly outstanding. It's clear that our builder takes immense pride in their work, and it shows in every corner of our house. We feel so settled and happy here. We highly recommend them to anyone looking to build their dream home. You won't be disappointed!

  We're so glad, and lucky, that we chose Matt and his crew at Carland Constructions to build our new home. We highly recommend them. One of our biggest unknowns and worries was choosing a good builder - we'd heard the horror stories!! Matt was recommended to us by a friend and, after meeting him, knew we wanted to work with him. We've got the home we wanted AND with a great relationship with our builder. Thank you Matt, Marc and crew! Engaging Matt turned out to be fortunate in more ways then we expected... - After we spoke with him, we were confident he was decent and trustworthy - our instincts turned out to be right. - He's a certified passive house builder, which is what we were looking for. But his passion and dedication to providing a high quality, sustainable and high performing home is above and beyond. And he's still pushing to learn more and be even better. - His proactive and collaborative style of communication is excellent. We were involved in discussions and asked for our input AHEAD of when decisions needed making - we were a part of the build and fine detail process. It meant we had no nasty surprises or disappointments. - When there were issues and challenges (e.g. architect cock-up) which were pretty major (let's face it: they happen), Matt's approach was to work with us rather than being just focused on his own interests - striking a great balance between keeping the project going, considering the things which affected us and also taking his needs into account too. A tricky thing to do, but we got through it in the best way possible. - Once the build was done and we'd moved in, we had a fairly major issue with a 3rd-party supplied component (i.e. a supplier to Carland) which Matt took on, owned and drove resulting in a great outcome. - Matt and his team are still on hand to address those inevitable little things which pop up from time to time.

As an interior designer, I deeply value industry collaboration, and the Carland team brings a rare combination of expertise, client care, and quality workmanship to every build.   Matt and the team did a renovation for us and we can't speak highly enough of the care that they took, the knowledge they have and their excellent communication. I don't think Matt is capable of doing a crappy job and that's what he expects from his whole team as well. Five years later our house still looks amazing and functions A LOT better than it ever did before. I only wish we had done it sooner.

  We couldn’t be happier with our experience building with Matt and his incredible team. From start to finish, their professionalism and expertise—especially in passive house construction—were second to none. Matt’s passion for this building methodology shines through in every aspect of our home, and the final result has exceeded all our expectations. The performance of our passive house is simply unparalleled. One of the things we appreciated most was the level of care and communication throughout the build. The team held regular fortnightly onsite meetings to ensure we were always up to speed, and they were consistently friendly, approachable, and available to answer any questions we had—big or small. We genuinely felt like they were an extension of our family. The site was always kept immaculately clean and tidy, and it was clear that they took great pride in their work. They also showed incredible respect to our neighbours, which meant a lot to us. Visiting the site always felt like coming home early—Matt and the team made us feel welcome every single time. We had zero issues along the way, which is a testament to their organisation, skill, and dedication. We feel so fortunate to have built with Carland Constructions and can’t recommend them highly enough.

  My building design practice Geometrica has had the pleasure of working closely with Matt and the team at Carland Constructions over a number of years and on a number of high performance, all-electric homes now. We've always collaborated really really well as evidenced by the amazing outcomes and really happy clients. Matt is a true leader in the building industry, always striving to do better and pushing the boundaries of what is possible. I can't recommend him and the team highly enough!
