Thirdson Constructions undertook a $750K renovation of a 1905 workers cottage in Greenslopes, Brisbane for me. I used their design services as well as their construction services. The project wasn't an easy design and build, with a number of restrictions in place from the council/certifier as to what we could and couldn't do. Thirdson Constructions were very helpful through all stages (design, budget/quote and build). Thirdson Constructions own team, and their various sub-contractor trades, were excellent and I received numerous compliments during the build from neighbours and other residences in the street, on not only the quality of their work, but also how they went about their daily activities. The end result was a fantastic outcome which has been beyond my expectations. Their efforts have transformed a tired 2 bed, 1 bath workers cottage into a 5 bed, 3 bathroom home with numerous features such as double garage, pool, ducted air con, security system, deck, patio etc. Thirdson Constructions were very engaged with all finishes and selections on the project and were very knowledgeable in what was current with market trends to help me in these areas. I recommend them highly and can't thank them enough for what has been a fantastic outcome on this project.

We were really happy with the work done by the Thirdson Construction team in renovating and extending our Ipswich heritage cottage 10 years ago. So when we wanted to build a detached garage and granny flat, the choice of builder was obvious. From design to completion we were again very happy with their work and that of their subbies. Clear communication, thoughtful design, craftsmanship and quality materials were the order of the day.

We had grand ideas of transforming our tiny miners cottage, into a light filled family home for five. Having never undertaken a project like this before, we were apprehensive about what could be achieved whilst staying within our modest budget. After contacting David from Thirdson Construction, it was clear from our first meeting that we had found the right builder to help us achieve our dream. At every stage of the build, from the initial design process and costings, right through to the finishing details, David kept us involved and informed. He listened to our ideas, and had practical and creative solutions. He was very approachable and always took the time to answer any questions we had, making us feel very comfortable. The quality of his work was of an extremely high standard, and he was happy to source products that weren't readily available. David and his team completed the build on time and on budget. Thirdson Construction doubled the size of our century old miners cottage, with the finished result blending perfectly between the old and the new. We couldn't be happier, and would recommend them to anyone!

Thirdson have completed minor renovations on my old house in Maleny. It has been a pleasure to work with the team. They were able to work well within my budget, and keep to the style and ethos of my sustainable house. Thirdson replaced old rotten veranda boards and wired my veranda with smart stainless steel wire. The results are stunning. They also have replaced doors, and made renovations to a second kitchen and bathroom. Dave is reliable, honest, easy to work with, able to creatively solve problems, and easy to communicate with. I have, without hesitation, recommended him to friends who have also been pleased with the work of Dave and his team. I highly recommend the work and business of Thirdson.

From the moment you make contact, to the completion of the job, they are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They do not ‘push’ products nor ‘push’ expensive options.
