  Happy to provide David and his team this review thanks to their outstanding building design work. We were spinning in circles and lost with no real idea of how to turn our ideas into a renovation plan or who to turn to for help. I was referred to David by a work colleague and its turned out to be a fantastic result. David took the time to listen to our ideas, asked questions about our needs and wants, inspected our property, and from the initial meeting provided so much information it was almost overwhelming until we broke it down and understood how everything fits together. End result, not only did we engage with David for the design works, we engaged them for the construction as well, more than satisfied on both counts. A wonderful team, only to happy to explain, help, and ensure we understood the why’s and where to save on budget and not fight our existing structure. Can’t stress enough how beneficial it was to have somebody who understands existing buildings and knows how to work with them from an actual hands on construction perspective. When we eventually move onto our next project, Design Science will be our first call.

  We really appreciated the visionary ideas that Dave had for our home design. His ability to see the potential for creating a lovely home that considered our primary criteria of maximising views and living spaces was truly inspiring. At every point in the development of our design, we found Dave to be an excellent and thorough communicator, often going above and beyond to ensure that we understood each step in the process. Design Science is highly recommended for the support and professionalism with which both Dave and Grace undertake a project. Regrettably rising building costs prohibited us from moving forward with the final designs; had this not been the case, we would whole-heartedly have implemented all the proposed design elements.

  David did the design for our house extension and we couldn’t be happier with the way it has turned out. The builders commented that the plans / design were really well done and made a lot of sense to them - they weren’t surprised when I told them Dave also has a building background. We have just moved back into the house after 6 months and we can’t fault the design! Overall I really enjoyed dealing with Dave and he delivered exactly what we wanted - no complaints at all!

  We hired Design Science between 2020 and 2023 to design and build a "Taj Mahal" Backyard Shed with bathroom that suited our needs. David and his team handled the entire project. We first heard about Design Science through friends, and we are happy they recommended them. David was prompt and clear in his communication, taking the time to explain the process multiple times when needed. While the budget initially seemed high, the team stayed within the agreed amount—which I've heard is rare in this industry. David also made a few suggestions for improving storage that I turned down. Later, I realized the value of his ideas and regret not implementing them at the time. They made a big difference in storage. The quality of the finish was excellent, and aside from some weather delays, the build was completed within the expected timeframe. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the outcome and plan to work with Design Science again for our upcoming house renovation.
