We had a great experience with Rick and his team building our deck. They were responsive when I called up and said I found a hole in the side of our house - I was taking up deck boards expecting just to replace but no! They fixed the side of our house and we extended the deck and everyone compliments us on how great it looks. If you want a job doing well with a great aesthetic result, use this company.

Rick and his team absolutely transformed two bathrooms and a laundry! The Lightscape team were super responsive from start to finish. The planning phase was invaluable. Rick really listened to what I wanted and provided thoughtful, interesting solutions. Can highly recommend! The before and after photos speak for themselves.

They came, they saw, they conquered! (sorry for the misuse of a quote!) We cannot recommend Rick and his team highly enough for what they did in transforming a leaky garage and a back yard with significant drainage issues, into the vision we had for our home. What we got was three living spaces, that have changed how we live in our home, as well as adding value to the property. From the outset, Rick was appreciative of our budget constraints, and presented us with creative solutions that were not only appropriate but also sympathetic with the style of the house. His team of exceptional tradies then brought those ideas into reality. The care taken with our home, and the love for their work, was evident from the start. They were always professional, approachable and understanding (particularly their patience with all of our questions of how different parts of the project was to be completed). Additionally, we were most appreciative of the way in which Rick and the team handled the ‘extra’ jobs we threw in along the way, not part of the scope of the project, but necessary nonetheless. All of these have added to the joy that is our home now. Lightscape Building had been recommended to us by a very happy client, and we are more than happy to do the same for anyone looking to complete a renovation project, small or large.

We cannot recommend Rick and his assistant Libby highly enough for the incredible job they did renovating our cherished little house. The house started out as an abandoned, deceased estate in very poor condition. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the overall quality of work are simply outstanding and transformed the house into a cosy and inviting cottage. Fernando, who handled the kitchen, bathroom, laundry and reading nook renovations, showcased exceptional skill and creativity that have left all spaces looking beautiful and functional. As a family of four, we use this house for our own enjoyment, host guests, and list it on Airbnb, where we've received numerous glowing reviews thanks to the renovations done by Rick’s team. Despite the challenges of us not being based in the Blue Mountains and navigating some medical issues, Rick, Libby, and their entire team were extraordinarily flexible and accommodating. Their friendly, professional approach made the whole process a breeze, and their ability to work within our constraints was nothing short of impressive. I’ve worked with multiple builders on different properties and found Rick to be amongst the best. Personally, I like working with builders who are creative and out of the box thinkers and don’t just deliver a run of the mill outcome. Rick was a true thought partner and many of his ideas influenced the final build. I always enjoyed interacting with Rick to problem solve and see the end results materialize. Rick’s assistant Libby was truly wonderful. Super helpful and knowledgeable, she was always a delight to talk with during the project. She always brought a ray of sunshine in every interaction, whether choosing paint colours, tracking down invoices or just talking about the Blue Mountains. We would work with Rick’s team again in a heartbeat and highly recommend their services to anyone looking to transform their home with a team that’s not only talented but also truly cares about delivering the best results for their clients. Rick, Alex and all the team at Lightscape were so amazing to deal with. They were helpful, thoughtful, and excellent communicators. Rick was incredibly proactive with his communication and they were so good at ensuring we knew when to expect things by and sticking to that timeline. Meeting deadlines is definitely a strong point for this team. Rick was also so good at helping us through decision making processes.
