  I had three very ugly structural pillars removed from my lounge room, which meant a lot of work in the ceiling to prop and install two large structural beams. I got five quotes, and Edwin’s was by far the most detailed and well-thought-out. I also liked that it was a fixed quote, so I knew exactly what it was going to cost. We did have a couple of hidden surprises with unexpected plumbing in the ceiling cavity, which added a small bit to the cost, but Edwin had already explained this could happen, especially in an older house, and he was completely upfront about it. The job was done so quickly and so neatly. The demo team were incredibly clean given the amount of dust that could’ve been created. I’m really happy with the result and would highly recommend Edwin and his team.

  We reached out to Edwin a few months ago to look at knocking down a kitchen wall and putting in a breakfast bench and cabinetry. We didn’t have experience with the process for this a renovation, but from the first interaction Edwin went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was clear and explained why certain steps had to be taken. He took incredible care of our home when he was here and was kind enough to check in and see how we were going between steps. We had some internal complications after the wall removal, but he was clear with various options to overcome this. We are so pleased with the final result and are so glad we made the choice to do this and go with Ed.

What I really appreciated was how he worked with me closely to achieve exactly what I wanted, offering advice without ever being pushy. Edwin was always punctual, and impressively, the project was completed ahead of schedule with no delays. He kept the site clean and tidy at all times, showing great respect for my home. He’s friendly, easy to communicate with, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is just right. His attention to detail is second to none—he even mixed the perfect colour for the mirror holder to match the overall aesthetic of the bathroom.   We first worked with Edwin on our bathroom renovation in Feb and were incredibly pleased with the results — the project was completed quickly and professionally, and the outcome exceeded our expectations. Because of this positive experience, we decided to engage Edwin again for our kitchen renovation, and we’re so glad we did. With Edwin’s help, we completed the entire kitchen renovation in just three weeks. The final result is exactly what we wanted — modern, clean, and beautifully finished. Edwin provided thoughtful and practical recommendations during the design phase, helping us make the right choices for both style and function. What truly impressed us was Edwin’s excellent project coordination. Every step was carefully scheduled so no time was wasted waiting for tradespeople. His team was top-notch — the floor tiling was done with precision, the electrician rewired everything safely and neatly, and the plumbing work was outstanding. One standout moment was when Edwin noticed the benchtop supplier wasn’t giving us the best advice.   We have just had our bathroom renovated and expanded and a new ceiling installed in our hallway and we can highly recommend Edwin Abrams and his team. Edwin is a very hands-on builder: he was on-site every day that something was happening and was always checking the tradesmen's work. Any problems were solved quickly, efficiently and without fuss. The complete job took about six weeks, but we had a toilet after three and a half (we have only one bathroom). We chose patterned tiles for the floor and the painstaking work by Phuong and his tiling team has produced a fabulous result. The new ceiling in the hallway, with new Art Deco cornices and ceiling rose, is beautiful - it was Ed’s suggestion and solved two construction problems at once. Not only did Ed have excellent ideas, but he also gave us lots of advice about non-bathroom maintenance work that we are doing in the house. We are glad that we chose a local company where we dealt with the same people all the time, and we would highly recommend Abram Home Improvements.
